Step into the dark and luminous threshold of Samhain — the Witches’ New Year — for an unforgettable night of ritual, procession and revelry.

On the night when the veil between worlds is said to be at its thinnest, gather with fellow witches, wizards, seekers and curious souls for a torchlit journey through Margate and into the darkness of the sea.

Come dressed in your finest witch or wizard regalia and prepare to walk between worlds.

We’ll gather at 8:00pm at a secret meeting point in Margate, revealed to participants the night before. High Priestess Tree Carr and wizard Paul Buckingham will open the evening with a grounding ritual at the altar, using smoke cleansing and sacred resins to prepare us for the journey ahead.

From there, we’ll set off together in a torchlit procession towards Cliftonville Beach, carrying the spirit of Samhain with us as we cross from the everyday world into sacred space.

At the beach, Tree and Paul will lead a Samhain ritual and ancestor invocation, accompanied by drumming and singing. Through circle casting, intention-setting and offerings of remembrance, we’ll honour our beloved dead, acknowledge those who came before us, and open ourselves to the mysteries of the unseen.

Samhain is a time for endings and beginnings — a moment to pause at the threshold, release what no longer serves us, remember the dead and welcome the turning of the wheel.

Come in your finest pagan masks!
Bring your LED lanterns and LED candles, your offerings and your ancestors with you.
Walk with us into the night.
