Can Psychedelics Improve Our Romantic Relationships?

Can we use psychedelics as love drugs?

In recent years, a growing body of research has begun to illuminate the potential of psychedelics to profoundly impact various aspects of human psychology, including emotional intimacy and relationship dynamics. Studies from esteemed institutions, such as Imperial College London, have provided preliminary evidence that psychedelics may significantly enhance sexual satisfaction between partners, as well as pleasure and communication. Furthermore, the therapeutic use of MDMA in couples therapy has emerged as a promising field of study, offering new insights into how these substances can facilitate deeper emotional connections and resolve interpersonal conflicts.

What to expect

In this informed dialogue between experts Tommaso Barba and Sarah Tilley, you are invited to explore the cutting-edge intersection of psychopharmacology and relationship therapy.

This presentation will delve into the scientific underpinnings of how psychedelics, often dubbed as 'relationship enhancers,' can serve as pivotal tools in the advancement of couples therapy. Beyond the exploration of potential benefits, the session will rigorously engage with the ethical considerations, challenges, and implications of integrating pharmacological interventions within the delicate framework of human relationships and therapy.

Join us for a comprehensive exploration of this emerging frontier, poised to redefine therapeutic approaches to love and intimacy!
