Archive of Good Deaths

Mortal Made would like to invite you to contribute to our new project - “The Archive of Good Deaths”

The archive will work like a library of things for death, dying and loss: a collection of objects you can pick up and hold. Each will carry a local story and something practical: what choices you have when someone is dying, how to plan a meaningful send-off on any budget, how other local families have said goodbye.

We invite you to bring yourselves to our pop up studio at Mugs this November along with an item of importance for you in relation to dying well for us to document and admit to the archive. It could be an object, a document, a photograph. Anything really.

These source materials will go on to be interpreted by local artists to create tactile objects which we hope will become a permanent resource for the community based in Pilgrims Hospice and Folkestone Library.
