This workshop will review recent data with a focus on combinations of SSRI or SNRI antidepressants and psychedelics such as psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, and ketamine. We will discuss how individuals can gauge their sensitivity to psychedelics while using antidepressants as well as best practice approaches to antidepressant tapering.

The official objectives are to:

• Describe mechanisms of antidepressants like SSRIs in comparison to psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, and ketamine
• Discuss drug interactions between common antidepressants such as SSRIs, SNRIs, and bupropion with psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, and ketamine
• Outline how persons can safely taper and discontinue antidepressants as well as washout times that are most likely to restore sensitivity to psychedelics

Workshop Logistics:

• The workshop will consist of 75-90min of lecture followed by 30-45min of audience Q&A
• Access to a copy of the recording and PDF slides for download are included in registration
