NEVER ABOVE TAROT
Deck Launch & Release with Richie Disaster
A Dead Good Festival Event
Saturday 31st October
6:00pm–7:30pm
LowLife, 139 Northdown Road, Margate CT9 2QY
FREE RSVP
Come celebrate the launch of a brand-new tarot deck born from tattooing, symbolism, transformation and the strange, beautiful language of the cards.
Join Margate-based artist Richie Disaster for the official launch of NEVER ABOVE TAROT — an evening celebrating the creation, evolution and release of their new tarot deck.
Richie will share the story behind the deck, including their journey with Tarot and the relationship between art, symbolism, religious iconography, traditional tattooing and divination that runs through their work.
The launch will also feature a gallery wall displaying every card in the deck, giving you the chance to see the complete visual world of NEVER ABOVE TAROT.
Each individual card print will be available to purchase at random.
Rather than choosing your favourite, you'll be invited to pull a card from the deck — and that card becomes your print.
You might pull the card you needed.
Or the card you absolutely didn't want.
Either way, it's yours.
Come along to hear the story behind NEVER ABOVE TAROT, explore the full deck, meet the artist and celebrate its arrival into the world.
You can read our ticket terms and conditions here.
ABOUT RICHIE DISASTER
RICHIE DISASTER
Richie Disaster (he/they) is an artist whose work is deeply influenced by traditional tattooing, religious iconography, symbolism, ritual and the idea of evolution and change.
Originally from Scotland, Richie has found a home in Margate and is part of the creative community behind Lowlife — the independent community space, bar and shop they run with friends.
Their work brings together the visual language of tattooing, esotericism and contemporary art, creating imagery that feels simultaneously ancient, strange and completely of its time.
Now, that visual world becomes a Tarot deck.
NEVER ABOVE TAROT has arrived.
Come pull a card.
Come meet your fate.
Come celebrate the launch.
