Honouring the Ancestors - An immersive and mystical Samhain Journey of Cacao, Dance & Sound
As the wheel of the year turns towards Samhain, we arrive at a threshold - a time to honour what has come before us, and remember those whose lives, love and stories have helped shape our own.
Join Sus and Lynsey for an extraordinary afternoon of cacao, ecstatic dance, sound and ritual, creating space to connect with ourselves, each other and the ancestral thread that runs through us all.
We invite this as a co-creative and self-expressive journey, fancy dress is welcome!
The journey
10:00 — Arrival & settling
Arrive, connect and make yourself comfortable as we gather in the beautiful ballroom
10:30 — Cacao ceremony & opening circle
We will begin with sacred cacao, intention setting and a guided ceremony to open the space and invite us into the energy of Samhain. A moment to honour those who came before us and to align our hearts and open our minds to the magical vibrations that surround us. Cacao can help us to access the liminal spaces within and without us, welcome the ethereal and celebrate the mystical.
11:15 — Ecstatic Dance Journey
A deeply embodied dance journey with live music by DJ Lynsey, inviting you to move, feel and express whatever is present. No choreography, no experience necessary - simply an invitation to listen to your body and allow the music to move you.
As we dance, we will explore themes of ancestry, connection, remembrance, honour and magic.
12:30 — Sound Journey
After the movement, we will settle into stillness, lay back and be held by the healing vibrations of sound by Sus. A space to rest, receive and integrate whatever has moved through you, a sacred space where you may receive visions or guidance from your guides and ancestors.
1:30 — Closing circle
We will come back together to reflect, share and honour the journey we have travelled. A chance to acknowledge what we are taking with us as we step across the threshold into the darker half of the year.
An extraordinary Samhain experience
This is more than an afternoon of cacao, dance and sound. We are creating an immersive Samhain experience. A carefully woven journey designed to take you beyond the everyday and into the magic of the season.
The space itself will be transformed for the occasion, with atmospheric, traditional Samhain inspired decoration creating a beautiful immersive space.
Every element of the journey has been intentionally chosen and lovingly created by Sus and Lynsey. From the cacao ceremony, to the music and unique soundscape journey. Each part will flow into the next, guiding you progressively deeper into the spirit of Samhain.
Expect an afternoon that is mystical, immersive, deeply embodied and a little bit magical.
Come and cross the threshold with us.
A space to remember
Samhain is traditionally a time when the veil between worlds is considered thin - a time for remembering the dead, honouring our ancestors and acknowledging the cycles of life, death and rebirth.
You don't need any particular spiritual beliefs to join us. This is an invitation to connect with loved ones who have passed, honouring your lineage and reflecting on those who have influenced your life.
Come as you are.
There is nothing to perform and nothing to get right.
Just an invitation to slow down, remember, move and receive.
Everyone welcome | LGBTQIA+ non-binary friendly.
What to bring
- Yoga mat.
- Water bottle.
- Comfortable, layered clothing - you may get warm while dancing and cool during the sound journey.
- Blanket - for the sound journey and relaxation.
- Anything meaningful for our Samhain altar - perhaps a photograph of a loved one or ancestor who has passed, a small meaningful object, or something from nature.
- Glasses+headphones+dancing are sometimes not the best of friends! If you wear contact lenses, they might be more comfortable for you.
We can't wait to share this Samhain journey with you.
We shall be donating 10% of ticket sales to Age UK, supporting older people in our communities.
With love & blessings,
Sus & Lynsey
