Ready to simplify your weeknights with nutritious, ready-to-cook meals? Join Grow Cook Learn at Reimagine Co. for a practical session focused on the ease and efficiency of "dump and go" meal prepping! We will focus on building sustainable habits by prepping three delicious, budget-friendly meals that make healthy eating a breeze.
Date: Wednesday, February 11
Time: Doors open at 5:45 PM, workshop begins at 6:00 PM
Location: Reimagine Co., London, Ontario – https://reimagineco.ca
What You’ll Experience
- Meet Your Community & Connect: Kick off the workshop with a fun icebreaker to get to know your fellow attendees and connect with community members.
- Nutrition Literacy & Realistic Transitions: We will discuss practical, everyday ways to transition into a more nutritious and healthy lifestyle through the power of meal prepping.
- Meal Prep Preparation: After receiving your recipes, we will break into stations to assemble three different meals: a hearty root vegetable and chickpea stew, Spiced Tomato & Lentil "Sloppy Joes", and a savoury split pea soup. Every household will create one of each recipe, with the choice to prep for 1 or 4 servings.
- Practical Skills: You’ll get hands-on experience with knife skills and learning how to properly package both freezer-ready and shelf-stable meals.
- Wrap-Up & Community Care: We will conclude by ensuring everyone has their cooking instruction cards stapled to their bags and cleaning up our stations as a group.
A Welcoming Space for Everyone
At Grow Cook Learn, we believe that healthy eating looks different for everyone. This is a judgment-free space where all bodies, backgrounds, and skill levels are celebrated. We focus on food neutrality and the joy of building skills as a community.
Families & Children:
Kids are absolutely welcome! Please keep in mind that the workshop begins with a short interactive presentation that involves a sitting period. During the food preparation portion, knives will be used. We expect all participants to follow safe food handling practices as we will be sharing the preparation space and tools. We are happy to make accommodations to ensure the best experience for you and your family—please let us know if you require any specific arrangements when you register.
