Death & Dreaming: Liminal Thresholds
A Dead Good Festival Event
Sunday 25th October
19:00 – 20:30
Online Lecture · £15
What if dreaming and dying are not entirely separate experiences, but two encounters with the liminal.
Both hold the qualities of those mysterious threshold states where the familiar world falls away and something unknown begins to emerge
This online lecture, Tree Carr explores the deep and ancient relationship between dreaming, death and the journey of the soul.
Drawing on sacred and esoteric traditions including the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Tibetan Bardo Thodol, and Greco-Roman underworld mythologies, Tree will highlight the archetypal journey of the psychopomp, the guide who accompanies souls through the realms between life and death.
Discover how dreams have long been understood as portals to other realms, and how dreamwork can offer ways of preparing for death, navigating grief and encountering visionary states of consciousness.
