We are delighted to welcome Tibetan Buddhist monk Geshe Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche to Cornwall for an uplifting weekend of wisdom teachings, mantras and blessings.
Rinpoche was recognised by the Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of the hermit Lama Ahbay Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche. He is head of Yega Choling Monastery and carries responsibility for a community of monks living in exile in South India.
Ahbay Rinpoche is a generous soul, sharing teachings of loving kindness, compassion and peace, alongside his infectious laughter. He is known for his relatable light hearted presence.
You are warmly welcome to join us for the whole weekend, or for one or two individual sessions. We have a small number of beautiful bedrooms available for those who would like to make a retreat of it, with sea views, delicious meals and space to walk, rest and contemplate.
Rinpoche will share his deceptively simple, yet extraordinarily powerful teachings on how to live a happy and meaningful life by applying highly practical and logical antidotes to the day-to-day negative emotions that can arise in us.
He will share a powerful group blessing for the health, happiness and wellbeing of all present. And you will each receive a red blessing chord as well as the chance to ask any questions you may have.
In Tibetan Buddhism, practices such as Green Tara, Medicine Buddha and the Compassion Buddha help us cultivate qualities such as compassion, healing, courage and wisdom. Each has an associated mantra, a sacred phrase repeated in meditation to gather the mind and open the heart.
Across the weekend, Rinpoche will introduce these practices through teachings, meditation and blessing. You do not need to be Buddhist or have any previous experience. You can simply come, listen, practise and experience them for yourself.
Beyond what is being taught, this is a rare and precious opportunity to sit in the presence of a deeply experienced lineage teacher… and be in Cornwall by the sea in a very special private house for this experience.
friday evening
compassion buddha, altruism & the six perfections
We begin with compassion, and with teachings on the altruistic mind and the six perfections, generosity, ethics, patience, joyful effort, meditation and wisdom.
Rinpoche will explore what it means to move beyond the narrow concerns of the self and live with a more open and compassionate heart, both towards ourselves and towards others.
Alongside the teachings, he will introduce the Compassion Buddha mantra and guide us in meditation and practice.
saturday day retreat
medicine buddha, healing & training the mind
Saturday is a fuller day of retreat, centred around Medicine Buddha and the Buddhist understanding of healing.
Medicine Buddha practice is traditionally turned to in times of illness, suffering and difficulty, but healing here reaches beyond fixing what is wrong. It is also about tending to the mind and cultivating the inner conditions in which life can become more peaceful and whole.
morning // the eight verses of training the mind
Rinpoche will teach on The Eight Verses of Training the Mind, a revered Tibetan Buddhist teaching for transforming how we meet difficulty, relationship, ego and suffering.
Rather than trying to control everything around us, what becomes possible when we learn to work with the mind itself?
afternoon // creating a peaceful mind
How do we find steadiness when life is difficult? How do we work with fear, agitation, conflict and the endless movement of our thoughts?
The afternoon will explore the practical Buddhist path towards creating a more peaceful mind, alongside Medicine Buddha mantra, meditation and practice.
There will be time throughout the day to listen, practise, share food, rest and allow the teachings to settle.
sunday morning
green tara - karma & meditation
We close our weekend with Green Tara, associated with compassion, courage and moving through fear and obstacles.
Rinpoche will explore karma, the Buddhist understanding of cause and effect, and the practice of meditation.
Karma is often misunderstood as fate or punishment. Here we will explore the relationship between our intentions, actions and what follows from them, and the possibility this gives us to live with greater awareness and choice.
Through teaching, meditation and Green Tara practice, we will explore how the way we meet this moment shapes what comes next.
sunday afternoon
There will also be a small number of opportunities to receive a private blessing from Rinpoche, either for yourself or together with your family. These are 40-60 minutes.
These sessions need to be booked in advance with Amisha and are offered for a donation suggested donation of £250 (minimum £150), which will support Rinpoche and the continuation of his work. All proceeds from the teachings and blessings will go directly to Rinpoche and his monastery.
There is an opportunity to visit Rinpoche on Monday or Tuesday for private audience and private blessings if you cannot make the weekend. In this you will receive Blessing Mala beads, (Kata) Blessings scarf with the Eight auspicious symbols, Red Blessings chord and Protection necklace.
who is it for?
This event is for all people young and old, of all faiths or none. You don't have to be able to sit on the floor crossed legged, there will be chairs as well for you to be comfortable.

hosted by all that we are
all that we are explores the weave between activism, the sacred, creativity and regeneration. The spaces where our inner and outer worlds dance. From healing trauma to nature connection to new technologies to ancient wisdom - it’s time for us to move beyond silos and into an integrated way of being. Every one of us has ideas and personal experiences to share that can lead us to a more beautiful future. Despite the challenges we face as a global community or the pressures we meet in our daily lives, when we stop and dare to listen, to ask ourselves the big questions and to share what we are already doing and envisioning, we create the futures of our wildest dreams. And we begin to embody all that we are, all that we are becoming and all that is possible. This podcast takes us out of the mainstream narrative, into deep, long, authentic, unedited conversations. We work towards decolonising the process of which voices are heard and the tone in which the media operates. We offer spaces of deep listening, where we come into our hearts so we are more receptive to understanding different perspectives and integrating what we hear into our own bodies and lives.
Alongside the podcast hosted by amisha tala oak, we have our collaborative book, learning journeys and mid-week meditation. all that we are celebrates all that we are already and the untapped potential that lives inside us. It invites the full power of the more than human world, nature, the unseen, our ancestors and our future generations. It reminds us that we never exist in silo through borders, timelines or polarity. That in each and every moment - all that we are is here.

about Geshe Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche
Ahbay Rinpoche was born in Darjeeling, India, in 1973 (in exile from Tibet), and in 1980, when he was seven years old, he became a monk at Gaden Jangtse Monastery in South India. After 2 years of being at the Monastery at 9 years old, in 1982, he took vows to become fully initiated into monkhood under the tutor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Khabche Ling Rinpoche who gave him the name Thupten Tendar. In 1985, when he was twelve, His Holiness the Dalai Lama recognised him as the reincarnation of the hermit Lama Ahbay Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche, who lived in a cave and was famous for his supernatural powers. In the same year, he was enthroned as Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche Jigme Thupten Tendar in the Gaden Jangtse Monastery in South India.
He is currently fundraising and building a Monastery that will house, feed, clothe and educate his monks up to a university standard so they may carry on his excellent work sharing how to live a peaceful and harmonious life with people around the world. The Monastery will also help house, feed and clothe many Tibetan refugees in exile and provide a welcoming prayer and retreat space for Rinpoche's global friends and Sangha. He has inherited full responsibility for the Yega Choling Monastery and its monks.
From the age of 13 to 35 years old (1986 to 2008), Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche studied in depth the 5 major texts of Sutra Tibetan Buddhism philosophy within the Gelupa lineage. Then, at 36 years old, he attained a Geshe degree, which is a doctorate of Buddhist philosophy (PhD). After becoming a Geshe he studied Tantric Buddhist philosophy for a further year at Guymed Tantric Monastery University.
Geshe Lama Ahbay Tulku Rinpoche travels the world to share his teachings and blessings at the invitation of friends and students and is much loved by all who meet him. In these times of great turbulence, his gentle, approachable nature and great sense of humour enhance his ability to bring life-changing experiences to all who have the good fortune to meet with him.
All profits from this event will go directly to Rinpoche and the continuation of his work. If you feel called to donate more, here is his go fund me.
