Sunday Soul Reset - The Value of Safe Spaces
Welcome to Sunday Soul Reset, a monthly community event that's all about taking a break from the hustle and bustle of life and finding real, meaningful connections.
This month's theme is ‘The Value of Safe Spaces' and we'll explore the what, how, when, and why safe spaces (within and around us) are worth creating and cultivating in our day and age.
If you're someone who:
- Wants to explore self-discovery through therapeutic, reflective, and mindful practices
- Craves an outlet for your creativity and soulful expression through the arts
- Values building strong, supportive relationships and taking responsibility for your well-being
- Misses the feeling of belonging to a collaborative in-person community
Sunday Soul Reset is the place to be. When you join us, you can expect to leave feeling grounded, refreshed, mentally clear, emotionally nourished, and spiritually revitalized, setting the tone for the entire month ahead.
Why the theme of Safe Spaces?
I am inspired by the Japanese concept of 'Ma', the space between objects or elements. It's the gap, space, or pause. It's the negative space, the emptiness where paradoxically nothing happens yet everything has a chance to digest, percolate, and absorb.
Too often we get caught up in our busy lives to realize the importance of creating these safe, neutral spaces where we can simply rest, breathe, feel through our experiences, and digest the complex content that our senses and psyches are constantly bombarded with.
Safe spaces have been essential in my personal and professional development as a student of consciousness and psychospiritual psychotherapist. I see these cycles of productivity & rest, movement & stillness as fundamental to a holistic approach to well-being.
I know first-hand how challenging it can be to stay committed to and consistent in creating this balance in life, especially when the self-critic or the inner perfectionist demands non-stop pursuit of ambitions and achievements.
Our aim is simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where you can
- Reconnect with your true self on a deeper level.
- Form genuine connections with others who share your interests and values.
- Rediscover the transformative power of community, mutual well-being, and support.
We're excited to have you join us for this journey of self-discovery and community building.
