As more and more people are exposed to psychedelics and the delicate states which they awaken, it is essential that we learn how to support those who encounter difficult experiences.

Holding Space is a 2-day psychedelic crisis intervention workshop where we share the insights, challenges, mistakes and wonders that we encountered along the way. During the workshop we practice compassionate listening, loving presence and mindful awareness and explore their crucial role in times when our loved ones go through a difficult experience, we dive into the ethics of supporting people who are experiencing non-ordinary states of consciousness, teach basic psychedelic neuroscience and create live simulations that are giving an opportunity to practice crisis intervention and discuss it as a group.

Nir Tadmor and Igal Tartakovsky are professional therapists that founded two separate psychedelic harm reduction projects in Israel, and decided to join forces to spread the many important lessons psychedelic harm reduction has to teach us (www.safeshoreisrael.com). Since Safe Shore was founded 8 years ago, Igal and Nir have supported and supervised more than a thousand psychedelic crises in musical events and in private practice, facilitated 28 "Holding Space" workshops in Israel, the UK and The Netherlands and are currently working on a few scientific papers about psychedelic harm reduction with the Israeli Ministry of Health.

WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY?

★★★★★

"Holding Space was an extremely useful, well-rounded workshop. I learnt so many techniques I'll integrate not only into situations involving psychedelics but in any case of a person experiencing crisis. It was an excellent mix of practical exercises and well-researched scientific information. Nir and Igal are both wonderful teachers, drawing from years of experience and knowledge, and a pleasure to spend a weekend with. 10/10 would recommend." - Bex

★★★★★

“Nir and Igal held the space for this workshop incredibly. Their knowledge and experience in the field was shared with the participants in the course and we were taught essential skills that will enrich every relationship and interaction that we have if we choose to put them into practise. If you’re interested in holding space or are just interested in being a good citizen at a festival this workshop is a must.” -Abbey
