Get ready to mash, stuff, and steam! Join us for a fun, hands-on evening where you’ll stuff your own custom Twice-Baked Potato and learn an easy, healthy method for cooking vegetables. This workshop focuses on building a colourful, protein-powered meal using simple ingredients and smart assembly. You'll learn how to transform a simple baked potato into a hearty, balanced dish that is easy to replicate at home. Bring your appetite, your creativity, and your friends (or make some new ones!) for a night full of vibrant flavour, skill-building, and personalized cooking.
Participants will also receive $20 in Harvest Bucks! Redeem them for fresh eggs, vegetables, and fruit at participating locations throughout London and Middlesex County. For more info, visit: https://www.healthunit.com/harvest-bucks
This beginner-friendly workshop is all about creativity, individuality, and tasty food — no cooking experience needed!
In this workshop, you will:
Meet your station & connect: Kick off the evening by meeting others at your assembly station.
Master the mix: Learn how to safely cut and scoop a warm baked potato, then mix the flesh with butter and sour cream/yogurt to achieve the classic creamy, twice-baked filling.
Custom stuff & power-up: Visit the topping stations to add your personal selection of protein (chicken, bacon, black beans) and colourful toppings (onions, jalapeños, cheese) before stuffing your potato back into its skin.
Steam for success: While the potatoes finish under the broiler, learn a quick, healthy, no-basket steaming technique for fresh vegetables (using frozen California blend and green beans).
Dig in & reflect: Share the meal you prepared, served with your freshly steamed vegetables. Discuss the flavour profile, compare experiences, and reflect on the skills learned during the workshop.
What you’ll need:
