Samhain Sing - Vocal Improv Soirée

We're back, and very excited to welcome you to our Samhain Vocal Improv Soiree, those returning and those of you coming for the first time :)

After a string of very special events in the first half of the year it feels like there's a gently growing Vocal Improv community in Bristol, and having these seasonal events invites a time to reconnect with each other through the shifting cycles of life, re-rooting after the summer's adventures as the nights draw in, and sharing what's alive in these times of transition.

Something magic has been created in these spaces, with the freedom and playfulness to explore vocal improvisation held by such supportive collaborators and audience alike.  We welcome you to come and find out what music wants to emerge in the moment… bring your tenderness, your shyness, your sparkles, your bigness, your silliness and sensitivity… your voice…there's space for it all!

We'll start with a facilitated warm-up and big group sing together, then bring 'n share meal, followed by our Vocal Improv Cabaret where you can join in small group improvised singing, and space to try out new ideas if you want to invent a new form!

You can choose if you want to pop your name in the hat for the cabaret or just relax into what's on offer. It's completely fine to come and just listen to the music being created as a supportive audience.

Please bring:

• Some food to share: any salads, sides, toppings or snacks would be great… we will cook a bunch of yummy potatoes!
• Blankets to help make the space feel cosy
• Your own water bottle

We will provide a selection of teas.
