MadStillNess: Cacao, Yoga & Somatic Movement

Exploring Shiva and Shakti, Anima and Animus through Cacao, Tantric Techniques, and Somatic Movement

About The Event

MadStillNess is a trauma-informed workshop that blends modern neuroscience, Jungian psychology, and Tantric practices like yoga, breathwork, dance, and play. The aim is to help you tap into the senses and wisdom of your body, reconnecting with the balance between masculine and feminine energies.

In today’s world, we often focus on masculine qualities—doing, logic, structure—while feminine qualities like intuition, creativity, and emotion are overlooked. This imbalance can disconnect us from the deeper wisdom within, blocking the nurturing energy that allows us to flow, create, and express ourselves freely.

MadStillNess: Balancing the Masculine and Feminine is your invitation to embrace and integrate both these energies. Through cacao, breathwork, yoga, dance, and meditation, we’ll explore the dynamic interplay between Shiva (the stillness, structure, and consciousness of the masculine) and Shakti (the flow, creativity, and intuition of the feminine). In this workshop, movement becomes the bridge to balance.

Through dance and somatic movement, we’ll unlock the power of both the masculine and the feminine energies, allowing the body to express itself freely. It’s about reconnecting with the wisdom of your body, expressing your inner “madness,” and creating stillness through movement meditation.

This is a queer and neurodivergent-friendly space for all. Take off the mask of the everyday and step into a space of creative exploration, joy, and play.

What to Expect

Yoga & Breath
We’ll start by dropping in with pranayama (breathwork)—clearing mental clutter and getting into our bodies. Then, we’ll flow into yoga asanas, stretching, releasing, and creating space for both stillness and fluidity to awaken within us.

Movement & Music
Once we’re embodied, we’ll move through a curated soundscape—from soulful ambient vibes to the electrifying beats of Afrobeats, calypso, reggae, and dub. Using contemporary dance prompts, we’ll shake off tension, invite play, and unlock new layers of expression. This is about tuning into the unspoken language of the body—shedding the masks we wear and stepping into something deeper, freer, and more transcendental.

Guided Meditation
We’ll wind down with a deep, grounding meditation—soothing the nervous system and letting everything settle.

Sharing Circle
To close, we’ll hold space to reflect and connect—a moment to share, be heard, and integrate the journey together
