A unique yin yoga, sound and plant experience rooted in presence, ritual and rest.
This immersive offering combines yin yoga with therapeutic sound and plant energetics to honour the season — a moment of fullness, light and reflection, as the annual Draconids meteor shower reaches its peak.
Together, we’ll surrender and soften into stillness, creating space to restore, reset and connect our inner and outer landscapes, supporting a state of internal coherence.
Yin works differently from more dynamic forms of yoga. Poses are held for 2–7 minutes, creating gentle, sustained loading through the body’s connective tissues and fascia — the continuous network that surrounds and supports our muscles, organs and joints. This slower approach invites us to explore sensation, breath and stillness, while drawing on our growing understanding of how fascia responds to gentle, sustained movement and load.
Rather than pushing or forcing the body open, yin invites us to listen, soften and allow space for change.
We’ll close with Yoga Nidra and a deeply immersive sound experience. This integrative electroacoustic practice brings together contemporary neuroscience and ancient sound traditions to support nervous system regulation and profound states of rest.
Suitable for all levels, whether you’re completely new to Yin or a seasoned practitioner. The practice will be bespoke to your body and ability.
Please wear, comfortable layers and bring anything that will help you feel cosy, grounded and supported.
Please arrive 10 mins early to allow yourself to land in the space and make yourself comfortable ready for a prompt start.

FAQ's
What can I expect?
At the beginning of the evening you will be invited to co-create an energetic field working with locally produced artisan plant essences.
We will then move into our yin practise supported by live electroacoustic integrative sound.
This session will invite stillness which signals your nervous system to enter into a deep state of rest. During this process some people might experience a release of stored emotion and shifts in the body. This is a welcome and natural response.
Is the yoga suitable for everyone?
Yin yoga is a functional yoga. Each pose is tailored to your body. Therefore all levels from seasoned yogis to anyone new to yoga are welcome.
Pregnant and lactating women should practice with caution due to the relaxin in their system. The hormone relaxin—which loosens ligaments and joints—lingers in the body for months postpartum and can remain elevated during lactation. This joint laxity significantly increases the risk of overstretching, joint instability, and injury.
Are there any contraindications for working with herbal medicine?
We will be working with very small amounts of herbs as this is primarily an energetic practise. However, some herbs should be avoided during pregnancy - please check. Plant essences used contain trace amounts of alcohol
Are there any contraindications for working with sound?
Sound is not recommended for people who:
- are in the early stages of pregnancy
- suffer from epilepsy
- have a pacemaker
- struggle with severe mental health conditions such as unmanaged PTSD or severe anxiety.
what happens after the session?
We recommend that you keep hydrated. Give yourself time to ground and integrate the sound over the days following the session, however feels best to you. For some people walking in nature can be beneficial.
A link to the yoga nidra - in falling light, surrender will be available for you to download and continue the practise at home.
who are the facilitators?
mind body design is founded by Louise, who has been practising yoga for 18 years and yin yoga for 14 years. She discovered Yin Yoga almost by chance and quickly fell in love with its unique combination of physical freedom, spaciousness and deep mental and emotional stillness. Louise was trained in Yin Yoga by Mysan Sibo and Sophie Ringsten, both students of Paul Grilley, Louise’s teaching is rooted in the functional and experiential principles of Yin Yoga. Her approach invites you to slow down, soften and listen deeply to the body, creating space for release, restoration and a deeper connection to yourself. Through mindful movement, stillness and breath, Louise creates an environment where the body can unwind and the mind can settle — allowing the practice to become a bridge into deeper rest and presence.
field ensemble is an electroacoustic creative lab working with the vibrational frequencies of plants and sound to support individual and collective wellbeing. With over 20 years experience of working with therapeutic sound, we combine cutting edge neuroscience with ancient sound healing technologies, creating integrative experiences that cultivate space for deep rest, connection and joy. Our artisan plant hydrosols are small batch, handmade and distilled locally , capturing the energetic signature of the land at a particular moment in time.
