When did someone last really listen to you? Not to reply, not to fix anything, just to hear you?

Our Community Circles are a place to stop, breathe and be with other people in a way everyday life rarely allows. We sit outdoors around the fire, take turns to speak and listen, and something shifts. People often arrive carrying a lot and leave a bit lighter, a bit less alone, and more connected to themselves and those around them.

Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, every place is FREE.

Choose the circle that calls to you:

Women's Circles
Come as you are, be real, be held. A space to rest and be held among women. For anyone socialised as or identifying as a woman, including female-bodied non-binary people and trans women who feel drawn to it. We meet every Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm  at Plot 9 Maze Hill.

Men's Circles
Come as you are, open up, be heard. No advice, no fixing, no performing, just men speaking from the heart and being heard. For anyone socialised as or identifying as a man, including male-bodied non-binary people and trans men who feel drawn to it. If you've never done anything like this before, you're exactly who we had in mind. We meet one Friday a month from 5.30pm to 7.30pm  at Plot 9 Maze Hill.

The Space Between
Come as you are. Meet the person in front of you. A circle for men, women and everyone in between. We're so used to seeing each other through the lens of gender that we can forget the person underneath. In this circle we explore the masculine and feminine qualities we all carry, the pull between them, and the wide spectrum in between, so we can meet each other as whole people. Open to adults of all genders, including non-binary, trans and questioning people. We meet one Saturday a month from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Plot 9 Maze Hill.

What actually happens?
Each circle begins with a short grounding practice to help you arrive, settle and leave the rush of the day behind. We then read our Circle Agreements together, which keep the space safe and respectful. At the heart of the circle is sharing: we take turns to speak, one at a time, while everyone else listens. You never have to share, listening is just as much a part of it. Alongside this, we bring in simple exercises and practices that let us explore what comes up through the body and in connection with each other, not just in words. It would help to read the agreements before you come.

First time?
It's normal to feel a bit unsure. If it helps, I'm happy to chat beforehand and answer any questions. Email kikadegani@gmail.com and we'll find a time. You don't have to walk in alone.

Help us learn what circles can do
We'd love for sharing circles to one day be offered through the NHS. To help build that case, we invite you to fill in a short, anonymous wellbeing questionnaire before and after the circles. It's completely optional, and you're welcome to join either way. In our last programme, women left each circle feeling calmer, happier and more connected, with anxiety noticeably lower.

Good to know

  • Please arrive on time, we can't admit anyone more than 15 minutes after the start
  • Places are limited, so if you book and can't come, please cancel so someone else can

Come as you are!

Travel info
Plot 9 is in east Greenwich, just a few minutes’ walk from Maze Hill Overground Station, served by Southeastern and Thameslink trains.

Several bus routes also stop very close to the venue:

  • Greenwich Trafalgar Road / Maze Hill (Stop H) – served by the 129, 177, 188, 286, 386, and 422.
  • Maze Hill Station (Stop M or Stop N) – served by the 386.

Walking directions (if travelling by bus): From Maze Hill Station, walk up Vanbrugh Hill, then turn right onto Restell Close. Plot 9 is about halfway down the hill on the right-hand side.

Video directions (if travelling by train): The walk from Maze Hill Station to Plot 9 is short but a little convoluted, so please see this video showing the route from Platform 2 (where you’ll arrive if travelling from central London).

If you’re driving, there is usually plenty of free parking available on nearby Disndale Road or Humber Road.
