I have been a qualified holistic practitioner since 2012. I’ve trained in various Reiki traditions, (Usui, Authentic Japanese Teachings, Holy Fire® and Karuna Reiki®), Pellowah energy healing, Umana Technique, meditation, TRE trauma release, myofascial bodywork, Angelic harmony therapy, Heavenly harmony, light language, Rahanni and Angelic essences. I host in person, online and groups wellbeing sessions and training days, where I teach Reiki, Angelic Harmony therapy and drum birthing. I have been a drum birthing tutor for Middlesex School of complementary therapy And i am introducing the benefit of drumming by co-facilitating Sacred women’s drumming circles. At the moment I am working towards collaborations that enabled men and women, to drum, share and explore heart based wisdom.
Drumming helps me make senses of the world. It is my voice when I cannot speak. It is a joyful experience and has the added benefit of shifting me out of stressful thoughts and feelings to bring me back to myself.
I believe that healing is a choice, and so worthwhile, even when at times it can be uncomfortable. It is also a journey. I have been consciously walking my own healing and wellbeing path for almost 30 years.
I have had some trauma and anxiety to deal with, and I choose to explore healing options, rather than medication. Learning how to help myself. helped me feel in control of my own healing process.
When I began, I was searching for something I had lost. Back then I was unable to name it, now when I look back, I realise that I have been on a journey to reclaim pieces of myself. Part of my journey was retraining as a holistic practitioner, in 2012.
I was drawn to healing techniques and modalities that focused on healing trauma, restoring harmony and wellbeing. I learnt what I needed to know, felt what that I needed to feel, voiced what I needed to hear myself say and create space for my authentic self to begin to emerge.
My healing process has been a dynamic experience with one step leading to another. Knowledge and experience have turned into wisdom.
It has been a journey into trust and acceptance, of letting go of pain to allow healing to happen and peace to emerge. I have learnt that I can embrace myself (and others) with love, and offer support with wisdom, a loving heart and respect.
I haven’t always got it ‘right’ and like everyone have a few regrets. When I can't change what has happened, I have learnt to accept myself just as I am. My healing journey inspires me to choose a life of authenticity and joy. To become who I want to be, and that’s all the colours of me!
It takes courage to make the choice to heal yourself, at times you may seem to falter when times feel difficult. There is a gift in looking deeper. .Is it worth it? I believe so.
