Frances Narayani Baker is a singer, facilitator, teacher and mother of two small children. She is known for her powerful devotional singing and for facilitating voicework that encourages our highest expression. Her work focuses on supporting people to bring freedom to their singing voices, irrespective of talent or skill, allowing it to become a tool of authentic expression. The voice, for everyone, can be used as a powerful tool for self discovery and transformation, enabling us to bring awareness to our true emotions and connect to the wholeness of our being.
Frances’s journey began as a yoga teacher, teaching in London for many years. During this same time she discovered the practice of Kirtan and subsequently her voice. Until then she had always believed she could not sing. This discovery had such a profound and transformative affect on her that she began to lead Kirtan and voice workshops which took her to many countries around the world. After the birth of her first child 2018, Frances’ focus turned more towards home. She currently offers one to one sessions online and in person in Alfriston, East Sussex.
Frances studied voice work with Chloe Goodchild and the Naked Voice and has learnt yoga and trained as a teacher in the lineage of Krishnamacharya and the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. She is greatly influenced by the work of Kim Rosen (Saved by a Poem) as well as the teachings of Adyashanti and Eckhart Tolle. Over the years she has also explored Hakomi, counselling skills, embodiment, meditation and is trauma informed.
