In this interactive workshop, participants can engage in self-love rituals, somatic practices including guided meditations, embodied-inquiry and poetry for engaging our desire for love and connection.
We invite you to reset your love energy through the liberating wisdom of anti-oppressive practices. This is a special collaboration event between two groups that are led by people of global majority heritage in the UK.
No previous experience is required.
This collaborative and experiential session offers a supportive space to explore creativity, collective unity and guided meditation for developing meaningful connections.
At our creative community event, we will discuss practices for releasing oppressive patterning and reclaiming our capacity for anti-oppressive love.
Whether you're seeking to deepen existing relationships, build new connections, or simply learn more about yourself, this event has something to offer.
Hear from our speakers and facilitators who will share their unique perspectives and valuable insights on love. Come and join our sharing circles, to take part in facilitated discussions and sharing poetry/creativity. Participants will have the opportunity to experience rich and empowering dialogues with other people of global majority heritage.
This event will provide a platform for participants to connect with others who share similar values, cultures, and interests fostering a sense of belonging and community.
About Us
MediDate® brings meditation, networking and conscious dating together to provide unique experiences for people who want to develop meaningful connections and or are looking for love.
Our philosophy is rooted in “Ubuntu” bringing mindful people together. "The belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity."
Our social wellbeing events are grounded in meditation, creativity and authentic relating which supports individuals to connect to themselves and each other.
Anti-Oppression Circle was founded in 2020 as an intersectional justice network led by people of global majority heritage. We host listening & sharing circles and offer spaces for cultivating deepening solidarity and trust within the social justice movement.
We are proud to be collaborating with MediDate for this special Anti-Valentine's workshop!
As love becomes increasingly commercialised and shaped by dominant cultures, this is an opportunity to experience a safer space for melanated folk to deeply connect with ourselves and each other.
