Join us for a community screening of the National Emergency Briefing: a powerful briefing bringing together leading voices to communicate the scale and urgency of the climate and ecological emergency facing the UK.

Most of us know the climate is changing.

We see the headlines, the unusual heat, droughts, floods and fires. We hear increasingly alarming warnings. But between work, families and ordinary life, it can be surprisingly difficult to get a clear picture of where we actually are — and what it might mean for the years ahead.

This evening is an invitation to find out.

Not alone at home, scrolling through another frightening headline.

But together.

About the event:

We’ll invite you to come and watch the National Emergency Briefing in the yurt, followed by space to meet one another, talk about what we’ve heard and explore a bigger question:

How do we live meaningful, joyful and courageous lives in a time of climate and ecological emergency?

There’ll be tea, cake, a little pop-up café and some simple connection games — because facing reality doesn’t have to mean facing it alone.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Everyone above 16+ is welcome.

You do not need to be an activist, environmentalist or climate expert.

Come if you’re concerned.
Come if you’re curious.
Come if you’re confused by conflicting information.
Come if you’ve been avoiding the subject because it feels overwhelming.
Come if you already care deeply and want to meet others locally who do too.

This isn’t about already having the answers.

It’s about being willing to look.

CHILDREN

Families are welcome, however the official recommendation for this film is 16+ because of the emotional impact it may have. There is children's friendly version of this documentary produced as we speak, which hopefully will be screen in schools across the UK.

If you do choose to bring young children, we simply ask that the space remains quiet during the screening so everyone can hear.

If childcare would otherwise prevent you from attending, please get in touch. If there is enough interest, we’ll explore whether we can create a shared childcare option.

5:30 pm — National Emergency Briefing screening
6:30pm — Conversation & community activism

OFFICIAL EVENT CLOSES 
8pm and onwards: Sauna for those that want to sweat

The screening is free, the sauna is donation-based.
