The Courage to Disappoint Others

Stop sacrificing your truth to maintain connection.

Thursday 29 October 2026 - 6 pm UK

Live Online - £15

What if your fear of disappointing others is costing you the life and love you actually want?

Perhaps you've spent much of your life being the good girl.

The understanding one.

The helpful one.

The woman who doesn't ask for too much.

The one who holds everything together, anticipates other people's needs and makes sure nobody feels rejected.

You may be brilliant at caring for others.

But what happens when you need to say no?

When someone wants something you don't want to give?

When expressing your truth might make another person angry, upset or disappointed?

Perhaps you soften your boundary.

Explain yourself endlessly.

Feel guilty for having needs.

Or agree to something you already know isn't right for you.

How much of your life have you organised around making sure other people don't feel uncomfortable?

For many women, people-pleasing isn't simply about being nice.

It can be a deeply ingrained strategy for maintaining safety, love and belonging.

But when we become responsible for everyone else's feelings, we can lose touch with our own desires, boundaries and direction.

What we'll explore

In this experiential workshop, we'll investigate:

  • The good-girl conditioning. How you learned to associate being loved with being agreeable, useful or accommodating.
  • The fear beneath your boundaries. Why saying no can trigger guilt, shame, fear of rejection or conflict.
  • Responsibility versus over-responsibility. Recognising where you are carrying emotional burdens that don't belong to you.
  • The Dark Masculine Archetype. Reclaiming willpower, determination, healthy anger, protective power and the capacity to take intentional action.

An embodied experience of standing for yourself

This workshop is not about becoming aggressive, hard or uncaring.

It's about discovering that you can remain loving while being clear.

That you can disappoint someone without betraying yourself.

And that another person's discomfort doesn't automatically mean you've done something wrong.

Through shadow exploration, guided inquiry and embodied boundary practices, we'll investigate the places where you give away your power.

You'll be invited to practise recognising and expressing a boundary, and to explore how healthy anger can support clarity and self-respect.

You'll leave with a clearer understanding of where you overgive or over-function, and an embodied practice for standing more firmly in your truth.

All exercises are optional and adapted to your own comfort and capacity.

Meet Your Guide — Bibi Gratzer

Sex & Relationship Coach | Tantra Teacher | Seven Years of Professional Experience

My own journey through codependency recovery taught me how easily love can become entangled with rescuing, over-responsibility and the fear of disappointing others.

I've spent years exploring what it means to reclaim healthy power without closing my heart — through shadow work, embodied practices, Tantra, archetypal exploration and conscious relationship work.

For the past seven years, I've supported hundreds of people in their relationships and sexuality, drawing on extensive professional training in relationship coaching, systemic constellations, somatic approaches and transformational practices.

My work is about bringing love and power back together.

Not power over another person.

But the capacity to stand in your truth, take responsibility for your life and remain connected to yourself even when someone else doesn't approve.

Want to Go Deeper? Discover INITIATE.

This workshop introduces the work of the Dark Masculine Archetype, one of the central pillars of INITIATE — a six-week embodied initiation for women who are ready to stop attracting the same kind of person.

Beginning 8 November, we'll explore childhood imprints, attachment, self-worth, boundaries, sexuality, emotional availability and the capacity to choose love without abandoning ourselves.

8 November – 13 December 2026 | Six Sundays at 5 pm UK | Live online

Investment: £300 or 2 payments of £150.

This workshop is a complete experience in itself. There is no obligation to continue into INITIATE.

All women are welcome, including lesbian, bisexual, queer and trans women. No previous experience is required.

You can be deeply loving and still be unwilling to abandon yourself.
