The 7 of Pentacles - creating real nodes: a skillshop for practicing relationship

If we want to create regenerative relationships - we must first know where we are.

Our desires. Our nos. Our yeses, and maybes, and pains, and joys, and frustrations, and hurts. Our needs. These are each things we must individually get to know in order to relate from them. Or put simply, our first relationship is with ourselves. (which is not the same individualist bullshit as “love yourself first before anyone else can love you” which is a very… individualist take on the notion it's trying to point at)

Instead, it's more about being in touch with our own responsibility, our circle of impact, influence, and responsibility within relationship. Our center.

When we responsibly relate to our desires, our fears, our pain, our center, we can then responsibly express it to other people. Whether that is in the form of a new internal boundary (that we may not share) or an external ask for something we need, we cannot communicate reliably unless we have first reliably learned how to be in touch with ourselves.

In this skillshop, we will practice a little bit of how to do both. We will start with centering in ritual with land + house kin, accountable ancestors, and spirits, and in the lineage of AODA druidry, calling the directions + above, below, and center. By feeling into and inviting the web of support from the other than human world, we create a supportive container for practice.

We will then center deeply in our own knowing: noticing how our own bodies respond inherently to relationships, noticing our yes, no, and maybe, and then, practicing a bit with each other in dyads and groups. After practice, we will close the circle of ritual practice with gratitude to the spirits and other than human kin who hold with us.

This is a beginner workshop meant to introduce these ideas for generative relating, and they are iterative, meaning: the skills build on each other. The more you practice them, the more your body builds the reps. Just as you might think about with going to the gym, our bodies learn self sovereignty and right relationship in the same way: through repetition, steady care and support, and embodied practice with other beings.

I always practice from a mad-centered, and disability-centered place and deeply believe that you and your body as they are are holy and enough, these practices include you and make space for you, and you CAN show up in your relationships and build generative relationships with all the mad and disabled unruly selves of you. <3 We will explore how.

The title of this workshop is based on the poem by Marge Piercy - in the work of creating generative relationships, I am deeply inspired by her words of “weave real nodes.” May we do the same, together.

What you will receive from this skillshop:

• opening and closing a steady ritual practice space (with yourself and others)
• somatic practices for learning your own yes, no, maybe
• locating your sense of integrity + center
• mapping how other beings and people impact you
• responding from an empowered place to activating situations and people
• determining and communicating your needs, desires, and requests

4 Saturdays - November 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, 2026
10AM - 12PMPST//1-3PM EST//6PM - 8PM GMT
via Zoom (or Proton Meet if they get breakout rooms and captions!)

Cost:
$444, $333, or $111. Please be mindful when choosing cost and give generously at the rate you are able. Choosing the highest rate allows me to open more space for others who need. captions will be provided. attendees are welcome to attend from bed, on the floor, while eating/drinking, stimming, walking, outside, off camera or on. interacting via chat only is welcomed. i do ask that some people be on camera so that i as facilitator can have that feedback loop at times, but you are welcome to take breaks as needed. if you are on camera, please wear clothing that you would wear to leave your house in.
