Welcome to the new monthly Psychedelic Society Sharing Circle in Frome, a social event and gathering to connect with like-minded individuals, explore new topics related to personal growth and spirituality, and deepen your understanding of yourself and others.
During our circle, we will incorporate a variety of activities and techniques to help facilitate connection and self-exploration, including meditation or visualizations, sharing circles, pods, journaling, self-inquiry, connection activities, and rituals.
This event is not about promoting or advocating the use of psychedelics, but rather providing a platform for those who have had such experiences to openly share their insights, revelations, and reflections. Whether you've encountered altered states of consciousness through psychedelics and other tools of consciousness alteration, or are simply curious to learn from others, this discussion circle welcomes it all.
Our intention is to create a space of safety and support where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others who are on a similar path of self-discovery. We encourage you to come with an open mind and an open heart, ready to engage in meaningful conversations and build a community of like-minded individuals.
Whether you are new to the world of the Psychedelic Society or have been with us on this journey for a while, our sharing circle offers a unique opportunity to connect, grow, and find your tribe. We look forward to seeing you there!
Disclaimer
While this work may have therapeutic benefits, this is not therapy or a replacement for therapy. If you are experiencing significant mental health challenges, we strongly encourage you to seek 1-1 support from a qualified psychotherapist.
While we do our best to create an environment that feels safe and inclusive, it is your responsibility to look after your own needs and boundaries. If this is something you struggle with, or you are concerned about any element of this workshop please contact us in advance. We are very willing to chat and check in about whether this workshop is right for you at this time.
Depending on your needs and expectations from this event, you may find that our Psychedelic Integration Circle, with Somerset-based Psychotherapist Justine Corrie, is better suited for your requirements.

Michael Barry
With a background as a doctor of Emergency Medicine, Michael is currently retraining as a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist with the goal of helping people to prevent illnesses before they reach a crisis point. He works at a residential addiction rehab clinic in Weston-super-Mare, working 1-1 and in groups.
He has completed the Psychedelic Practitioner training at the Synthesis Institute, during which he did a month long placement at a retreat centre in Mexico combining Western psychotherapy and Ayahuasca, and is now apprenticing and assisting on various retreats.

He also practices Buddhist ways of being and silent retreat work, with a particular focus on concentration and insight meditation (samatha and vipassanā) and the cultivation of beautiful states of mind (brahmavihārās).
