Teignmouth to Dawlish
🌿Walking the Southwest Coast Path
We're excited to announce our November PsySoc Community Walk, a mindful coastal journey along one of South Devon's most beautiful stretches of shoreline.
Join us as we walk from Teignmouth to Dawlish, following the South West Coast Path along the famous sea wall, past hidden coves, over the striking red cliffs of Holcombe and down to Coryton Cove.
This walk is an opportunity to slow down, connect deeply with nature, and share space with like-minded people in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Through simple nature-connection practices, moments of quiet reflection and unhurried conversation, we'll explore what becomes possible when we take time to be present with ourselves, each other and the landscape around us.
One of the reasons we've chosen this route is that it's both beautiful and easy to access by rail.
Teignmouth station is a short walk from the start of the walk, while Dawlish station is only around ten minutes from where we'll finish at Coryton Cove. For those travelling from Exeter, it's a straightforward train journey to Teignmouth before the walk and an easy return from Dawlish at the end of the day, making the walk accessible for anyone travelling by public transport without access to a car.
Whether you're already part of the Psychedelic Society community or joining us for the first time, you'll be warmly welcomed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A gentle coastal walk through open sea views, hidden coves and dramatic clifftop landscapes, offering the perfect opportunity to reconnect with yourself, with others and with the natural world.
Along the way we'll pause to engage with our surroundings and create space for reflection, conversation and presence.
In a world that moves fast, spending time in nature can help us slow down, recharge and gain perspective. Walking together creates a space where conversations flow naturally, helping us build meaningful connections and community.
Come as you are. Whether you're joining alone, with friends, or meeting members of the community for the first time, you'll be warmly welcomed.
WHAT TO BRING
Please wear sensible footwear and bring clothing suitable for the conditions. Parts of the route can be uneven, muddy and exposed to the elements.
We recommend bringing:
• Walking shoes or boots
• Waterproof jacket and trousers for wet days
• Warm layers, water and a snacks
• A notebook or journal for reflections
• Cash or card if you'd like to join us for a café stop afterwards
