CANtogether autumn 2024

On the evening of October 9th we'll be happy to welcome you for our autumn community event - CANtogether! This time around we have a program for you that we are thoroughly excited about! We’ll kick off with a screening of 3 short films about inspiring young changemakers from Vienna that we are currently producing, continue with a conversation with the protagonists and filmmakers, have a common dinner and afterwards a concert by “Honey Lane” and some opportunities to dance. 

There will be no shortage of lovely people to connect with and an opportunity to catch up with what's going on at CAN.

The Bridge Builders Series - Premier Screening

Over the last 6 months we’ve been working on 3 short films, that tell the story of three change makers living in Vienna. While they are very different in their focus areas, they have one thing in common: they care about building bridges across diverse and sometimes even polarized social spheres. They do so in their unique ways: Merle is working to connect different actors in civil society across social movements while also inviting people in to spaces of exchange and connection, who are not yet engaged. Afrah creates spaces for women from the arabic speaking migrant community to meet each other and people who’ve been rooted in Austria for a longer time. Inbal is from an Israeli settlement in the westbank and works together with Palestinian artists and activists as well as fellow Israelis to advocate for peace and build more mutual understanding across dividing lines. 

Join us for the first ever screening of all three movies, followed by a panel conversation with the three protagonists as well as Sarah and Jonas, the co-directors of the films.
