Root & Flame: An Imbolc Temple of Reconnection

Welcome to our Imbolc Temple,

                                                                                       As winter loosens its hold, we gather to feel life returning—slowly, softly, through the body. The sap begins to rise, our energy rekindles, and we remember the pleasure of being alive. Join us for an day of movement, touch, and connection. Through tantra-inspired practices, somatic embodiment, and simple, sacred presence, we’ll nourish body and spirit, awaken sensuality, and welcome the spark of spring.

 Come root into your body. Come feed your flame. The journey through the dark of winter has been long percolating and the first stirrings of spring are still an imagined whisper. It can be hard to see the light at the tunnel in this time, and yet spring always comes, in the end. 

  We welcome Bridgid, the maiden of spring, and this first fire festival, to guide us back into the the light. Stirring our spring Eros, let us meet it as  Medicine, in Temple.

 The first half of the day will be an invitation to  open  our bodies,  meeting ourselves and each other through the embodied container of ritual, tantric meditative practices, and temple traditions. This will be followed by a bring and share dinner feast to celebrate in eating together. The second half of temple will open to a free space, to play solely with yourself, in supported self-pleasure, and with each other.  You may also practise witnessing, in stillness, or in play. 

This temple is open to  those with a certain level of experience in Sacred sensuality and other such spaces. Awareness, openness and willingness to explore is essential for your own self-care and also the synergy of the group.  

We invite you to come just as you are, and feel. We know that being in these environments can bring up a lot of emotions. This is a safe space to welcome them and work with them in an embodied, held and ritual temple space. The Temple will be held throughout. 

FOR COUPLES: Please make your agreements together before you arrive at Temple. It is totally fine if you wish to stay purely with each other during the Temple. 

All genders are welcome, in couples of all combinations. 

Temple is a sober space.

Time : 10.30am to 5.30pm

Venue : Wild Goose Space, The Yard, St Werburghs, Bristol.
 

Things to bring: 

• An offering/flower for the temple shrine to Bridgid
• A dish feast to share
• Something tasty and delicious to share with the group for snack during the day (we will provide herbal teas and a fruit platter).

 Cancellation:

We have a no refund policy for the Temple. However, you are welcome to sell your ticket on to a friend.

I dance, I explore and I have an innate curiosity for life. Deeply influenced and rooted by the practices of Body Mind Centering, Contact Improvisation, explorations into The Land and Embodied Consciousness. Currently I am exploring the more than human relationship with Dartmoor and the question of what does the land remember.
TouchandPlay has been a rich place of learning, experiencing and play over the last ten years, so much so that I find myself as part of the organising teach for this unique and exciting experience.
