A storyteller, a musician and a poet are bringing a night of entrancing love stories to Charlton House in Shepton Mallet for all Lovers and Enthusiasts of Love & Life

Treat yourselves to a gorgeous romantic meal, whilst being entertained by Love’s Labyrinth, at 7pm on Friday the 16th February.  Love's Labyrinth will unravel the mysteries of love in all its forms. <3

Storyteller Sarah Mooney will tell the bittersweet tales of Orpheus and Eurydice, Eros and Psyche, and Dido and Aeneas, accompanied by the music of Tom Widdicombe and the poetry of Chris Petrie.

Tickets are £15.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

With storyteller Sarah Mooney, storyteller in residence for the National Trust SS Great Britain and the National Portrait Gallery.

Tom Widdicombe is an improvising viola player trained classically at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, turned rogue after years away from music and personal exploration and discovery. He perform regularly in and around Glastonbury, Somerset, as well as working with musicians from all over the country. He’s a member of ‘The Celtic Spaceship’, as well as long term collaborator with Zoe-Blu Shantos as a performer and arranger.

Chris Petrie is a poet and voice artist who works creatively with broadcasters, musicians and performers. Her words can often be heard on NTS radio and in venues around Somerset.
