Film Information
No Release is based on research and interviews conducted by Dr Monish Bhatia as part of his project Immigration, Location Tracking and Control, funded by a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship.

No Release follows Rafael and Idris, two migrant men living under electronic tagging imposed by the UK immigration system after serving prison sentences. Through a series of interviews, they recount the events that led them to prison, the violence and poverty that shaped their lives, and the punishment that continues long after their sentences have ended.
