Please bring your own mats and blankets or sleeping bags to the venue.
“Psychedelic experience without psychedelics”.
As you lie on a mat on the floor, gongs, singing bowls, other ritual instruments and voice will be used to weave a tapestry of sound.
The vibrations create a feeling of being 'bathed' or carried away into the space, with participants variously reporting subtle or powerful bodily sensations, a deep meditative state often accompanied by rich imagery and visions, or feeling of timeless nothingness and bliss. During the session the brainwaves are altered to the state that is self-healing, and has balancing benefits on the body and mind. Occasionally some sounds might trigger unpleasant and suppressed emotions that flow up to the surface — please accept them as a part of a healing process. In most cases the overall experience is very relaxing and ecstatic, and participants feel refreshed and recharged for a few days after the session.
Tea with lucid dreaming herbs including blue lotus will be served before and after the gong bath.
To get the best out of the experience:
* KEEP YOURSELF COMFY. Bring a sleeping bag or blankets + mat/mattress to lie down on.
* COME WITH NO EXPECTATIONS and with an open mind.
* WEAR AN EYE MASK or put a scarf on your face to cover your eyes which can enhance your visual sound experience.
~ Doors open at 6.45pm. Please take your shoes off before entering the hall.
~ Switch off your mobiles and use the toilets before the sound session begins.
~ We close the door strictly at 7.10pm. Gong sound bath lasts about 1hr30min.
~ The tea is served before and after the sound session. Optional ceremonial cocoa chocolates available for a suggested donation of £1-£2.
~ Event capacity is 60 people. If you prefer small intimate groups, try out Kat's (Sound Mysterium) sessions at her studio in Chalk Farm.
Facilitator: Kat Bumbul / Sound Mysterium
Kat Bumbul of Sound Mysterium has been offering gong baths in London for almost 15 years, along with tea ceremonies, retreats, tuition in sound healing and private gong, singing bowls and shamanic sessions.
As a practitioner of Siberian shamanism, Kashmiri Shaiva tantra and Dao Yin Shu, Kat incorporates her gifts and skills from these practices into the sound work to bring a healing experience to a deeper level, transforming sound bath sessions into shamanic ceremonies.
