Sacred Activist Collective: a space for justice-hearted souls to root, gather and rise
We are a community of justice-hearted souls who care deeply, for the Earth, for each other, and for a liberated world.
We honour our interconnection with all life: land and lineage, breath and body, ancestors and animals, soil and stars. We gather to remember our sacred responsibility and our collective power to create the world we long for.
We host free online gatherings every two weeks, with an intention to lighten the weight of the world with practices that strengthen our bodymind, deepen our connections, and awaken our personal and collective power. Our spaces follow a living rhythm:
🌱 Root: Create space within your bodymind to release tension, process emotion, and return to your centre through embodied, creative, and restorative practices.
🌀 Gather: Come together in community to witness and be witnessed, share truth, and remember that our struggles and hopes are carried more lightly when held collectively.
🔥 Rise: Anchor into your inner and collective power, reclaim your agency, and practice the liberatory ways of being that move us toward a freer world. You might call yourself a social activist, environmentalist, advocate, artist, change-maker, Earth-warrior, ally or you might not. No matter how you define or show your care for the world, this space is for you, because you need collective care too.
Rise: Radical Imagination for Liberation
A visioning meditation and creative ritual to feel, see, and move toward the world we are fighting for.
We are living through a polycrisis. The genocide in Palestine continues. Illegal, oil-driven wars rage on. Fascism and far-right violence are rising across Europe. In the United States, ICE is tearing through communities, and people are dying at the hands of the state. And right now, the Earth herself is screaming: this summer has brought some of the worst wildfires in Europe's modern history, tearing through France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkiye, whole towns evacuated, firefighters losing their lives trying to hold the line.
We can no longer carry on with business as usual. This moment is asking something different of us: not only to resist, but to cultivate what Walidah Imarisha calls a revolutionary skill… imagination. We have to be able to see the world we are fighting for. To feel it in our bodies, not only understand it in our minds. To know, with real clarity, what we are moving towards, and not only what we are moving away from.
Through a guided embodied visioning meditation, art-making and action-oriented journaling, we'll give our full attention to the world we are building. adrienne maree brown reminds us that what we pay attention to grows. Your art, and the felt sense of liberation held in your body, gives that vision somewhere to land. This isn't manifestation as self-help, or a personal law of attraction. It's a much older practice that existed long before wellness capitalism took over. Prayer, ritual and dreaming were some of our ancestors' original technologies for creating change.
The role of the artist, Toni Cade Bambara said, is to make the revolution irresistible. As a co-creator of this precious world, that artist is you. We'll leave with one clear, consistent action that carries the vision forward.
How we’ll flow together
- Grounding, holding what's alive in our world right now
- Warm-up creative practice, tuning into your power
- Guided embodied visioning meditation into the liberated world
- Art-making, expressing the vision onto the page
- Action-oriented journaling
- Closing sharing circle and prayer
This is for you if:
- You feel the urgency of this moment and want somewhere to channel it into a vision of what is possible
- You're craving a felt sense of what you're fighting for, not only what you're fighting against
- You want to explore art and embodiment as tools for building the world you long for
- You're curious about imagination, prayer and dreaming as decolonial, ancestral practices, not self-help
- You want to leave with one clear action you can actually sustain
What You’ll Need:
- A private, comfortable space where you can be undisturbed for 90 minutes
- Paper or a journal, and any creative materials you feel called to use (pens, pencils, paints, pastels, collage, clay, etc.)
- A blanket, candle, water, and anything that helps you feel grounded
- An openness to feel and to create without judging what emerges
- Invite your full, feeling, messy, raw, unfiltered, caring, soft and fiery self to be present
In this space, we ask that you commit to:
- Showing up exactly as you are. Your humanity with its grief, sorrow, rage, inspiration, joy, hope and everything in between is welcome.
- Being respectful and reflective about opinions, perspectives and lived experiences that are different to yours.
