Repair Café is a global movement to reduce waste and build skills and community. During this two-hour event, our handy volunteer "Fixers" help repair your household items - for free! Broken lamp? Jeans with a hole? Coffee maker that just won't turn on? Don't toss it - bring it to Repair Café and learn how to fix it yourself!

Thanks to our incredible team of volunteers, nearly three quarters (73%) of all broken items brought to London Repair Café get fixed! Such items include lamps, toaster ovens, curling irons, clocks, jeans, purses, coats, chairs, radios, microwaves, bikes, toys, and many, many more!

Here's how you can participate:

Step 1: IMPORTANT - please read our Frequently Asked Questions for information on how Repair Café works, what we can (or can't) fix, and what to bring on the day!

Step 2: RSVP for free and tell us what  item(s) you're bringing and what's broken about it/them - this will ensure that our fixers are well-equipped to repair your item on the day of Repair Café. Our Program Coordinator, Julia, may contact you with additional questions ahead of Repair Café. Visit this page and scroll down to view all upcoming Repair Cafés.

Step 3: Sign the waiver. After you RSVP, the registration page will redirect you to an online waiver - please read this carefully and sign every required section. We cannot repair your item unless you sign this waiver. There will be opportunity to sign this waiver in-person at Repair Café, but it will save you time to do it in advance.

London Repair Café is a program of the Institute for Community Sustainability (ICS), a London-based not-for-profit whose vision is collective liberation - a world where people live in peace and harmony with each other and nature - and mission is to help people live more sustainable and connected lives. You can learn more about the ICS and its other programs, including the London Thing Library, at our website: https://communitysustainability.ca/
