You may be familiar with the term Psychonaut, exploring consciousness with mind-altering substances, but what can we discover using our breath, voice, and bodies? Welcome to Somanautics…
Join us this November for a two-day immersion as we hack our psyches with play, improvisation, and somatic exploration.
This will be a fun and fascinating journey, where you will learn about the flow states of body and mind in a safe and welcoming community of like-minded beings.
Each morning, the space will be opened with a guided meditation, yoga flow, and check-in, and close at the end of the day with a sharing circle. The main activities for each day include:
- Wild play
- Drama improvisation games
- Embodied theatre
- Absurdist somatics
- Laughter practice
- Fooling
Exercises and games are designed for all abilities and comfort levels, so no matter your practice or background, there will be something to suit all.
The day's activities will be interspersed with free-flow and thought-provoking discussions, exploring topics like regulating the nervous system, body-based healing in different traditions, and more. There will also be plentiful opportunities to connect and share.
If you want to elasticate your capacity to express and invent while stretching the edges of creative play, then come and get involved. Places are limited, so book early!

Testimonias From Previous Events:
"Absolutely incredible, life changing session. Dani is an amazing facilitator who really helps you to embrace your inner child, be silly and play. She transports you to another world and I will be implementing the things she taught us into my everyday life."
“It felt like a really natural way of being, of playing, allowing the child self that always sits inside the freedom to unfold without judgment. Dani's sensitivity to the whole, and the way she guided us and nudged us softly in different directions felt really natural and balanced."
“Really wonderful, joyful, opening evening. Pete & Matha were great guides... Came away beaming and extremely playful.”
“Well organised, motivating, enriching, rewarding, energising and as might be expected..... full of laughter. Martha and Pete are great facilitators!”
“Beautiful event! Martha's yoga flow felt as an introduction, connecting to the body and getting in touch with the energy within, bringing it up, so Pete can guide it through another powerful, explosive flow. Pete's play was physical and expressive and all the different emotions that came up felt dissolved through laughter. It brought up the child energy and gave it a healing space to be, in dance with others.”
