The Rewilding Training 2027

Now in its 5th year, the pioneering Rewilding Training at Embercombe is the UK’s first in-depth, blended rewilding training programme featuring experienced and knowledgeable rewilders as the teachers.

With Prof. Alastair Driver, Derek Gow, Benedict MacDonald, Cain Blythe, Rebecca Wrigley, Neil Melaney, Alan Watson Featherstone, Rina Quinlan, Mark Elliott, Laura Fairs, Nick Kirsop-Taylor, Kate Morley, Chloe Revill, Tony Whitehead, Lorienne Whittle, Mike Cooke and Elliott Fairs.

Whether you want to learn how to rewild a garden, a farm, an estate, a smallholding, school grounds, a local park near your house, a patch of land in a city, or your life as a whole, this course covers it all.

Taught by some of the top thinkers and doers in the rewilding world, this course, both online and in person, exists to create a new community of rewilders across the United Kingdom who will take action. It seeks to meet the need that landowners and everyday people have to take action to protect our ecosystems and all life against the worst impacts of climate change and loss of biodiversity.

• Module 1 – The Context – UK Specific (Online): 1 March, 8 March, 15 March, 22 March
• Module 2 – The State of the Land (Online): 30 March, 5 April, 12 April, 19 April
• Module 3 – Rewilding Principles & Practical Data Collection (Residential at Embercombe): 29 April – 2 May
• Module 4 – Rewilding/Restoration Techniques (Residential at Embercombe): 10 – 13 June
• Module 5 – Permissions, Human Hurdles & Social Challenges – UK Specific (Online): 21 June, 28June, 5 July, 12 July
• Module 6 – Making an Income From Rewilding (Online): 6 September, 13 September, 20 September, 27 September
• Module 7 – Making a Plan For Your Rewilding Site (Online Part):  4 October, 11 October, 18 October, 15 November, 17 November
• Module 7 – Making a Plan For Your Rewilding Site (Residential Part at Embercombe): 21 – 24 October

FEES: Subsidised Ticket: £2,300, Regular Ticket: £2,600

PAYMENT PLANS: We offer interest-free payment plans to help make the cost of the training more accessible by spreading the fees over monthly instalments. BALANCE PAYMENTS: If you have previously purchased a Deposit Ticket and are looking to pay the balance of your ticket in full, please do so here. Balance payments must be made at least 5 weeks before the start of the Training, by 18 January 2027.
