The path of self-discovery and growth can be a lonely one. But we don't need to do it alone.

Welcome to the monthly Psychedelic Society Sharing Circle, a gathering for our members to connect with others, explore new topics related to personal growth and spirituality, and deepen your understanding of yourself and others.

Each month, we will focus on a different theme inspired by the seasons and their gentle teachings of how we might be in this world.

This month's theme: COMPASSION

‘The more compassionate you are, the more generous you can be. The more generous you are, the move love you cultivate to help the world..’ - Thich Nhat Hanh

Compassion literally means ‘to suffer together,' to feel the pain and joy of others. But compassion is not limited to just commiserating with others - its roots come from understanding the deeper sources of pain, holding it with love, and taking action.

This kind of deep feeling for others can only come from love for and knowledge of the self; where compassion begins. To truly see another, we need to see ourselves clearly first. Learning to gently accept and nurture those darker parts of ourselves we fear or are ashamed of is the only way we can authentically and helpfully be there for others. When we learn to do that, worlds of peace and connectedness can open up to us.

In this circle, still in the healing space of winter, we will collectively explore how to cultivate compassion - for others and ourselves:

Order of events:

  • Opening meditation on cultivating compassion
  • Warm up and connection exercise through movement
  • One-to-one sharing
  • Compassion ritual
  • Group sharing circle

Location & getting there

We are delighted to be meeting at our friend and partner, Yoga in the Stars' beautiful space in Leytonstone for this circle. We will have tea and chai, but feel free to bring snacks to share.

These gatherings are for our members to offer a space for building deeper community in London. Want to join us? Join here from just £5 a month.

Whether you are new to the world of Psychedelic Society or have been with us on this journey for a while, our sharing circle offers a unique opportunity to connect, grow, and find your tribe. We look forward to seeing you there!

What you can expect:

  1. Connection: Our monthly events offer a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share similar interests, passions, and struggles.
  2. Self-discovery: Gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your place in the world. Sharing circles can offer a safe and supportive space to explore personal beliefs, values, and experiences, and to gain insights into how these factors shape our lives.
  3. Healing: By sharing our stories and experiences, we can release pent-up emotions, gain perspective, and receive validation and support from others who have gone through similar struggles.
  4. Growth: This will be a space for learning, reflection, and growth, as participants gain new knowledge, skills, and perspectives from each other.
