Give a beloved garment a new lease of life with the traditional Japanese art of sashiko stitching. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the simple, meditative running stitch that turns visible mending into something beautiful — patching up holes and worn spots with intention, not hiding them.
With friendly, experienced guidance from Hazel of Threadfare, a sustainable fibre and fabric artist who can help you find your rhythm with the sashiko stitch.
Bring along a garment with a small hole you'd love to fix, or use one of our provided denim patches to practise your stitches and take home a finished sashiko piece either way.
