Mixed Drumming Circle at Westonbirt Arboretum 2 dates

Join for a morning to gather and connect to the power of the drum.

Nestled amongst the trees in Westonbirt Arboretum, we will find inspiration from this magical landscape as we move through meditation, drumming, singing and sharing.

No drumming experience is necessary, everyone is welcome- there is no need to be ‘good’ or musical!

Drums/rattles will be provided. If you have your own, you are invited to bring it along so we have more to go round!

After our drum circle has finished, you are invited to bring a packed lunch along to stay for a picnic and natter afterwards.

22nd August (click here) this is the one you're on! - gathering for the height of Summer and the harvest (Lammas)
26th September (click here)  - gathering for the Autumn Equinox
1st November (click here)- gathering for Samhain

Note, admission to the arboretum is included in the ticket price (normally £19), there is no need to book this separately! So you can have a lovely wander around the arboretum after the circle.

We will be gathering in the lovely Community Shelter area, which is tucked away from the main crowds, meaning it is a good 15 minute walk from the entrance. 

If you have any accessibility needs, drop me a message and I can talk to the Arboretum team to see if there is any way we can support.

Subject to the weather being dry, we will be outside to really feel into that connection with nature. And if it's raining - no problem! The shelter will keep us dry whilst still feeling connected to all that is around us.

A bit more about me:

Bethan, a yoga, sound and drum circle facilitator, holds spaces to bring people together to ground and gather, whilst having fun and building connection to ourselves and those around us in a way that feels real, welcoming and supportive. 

She came to yoga when she began to fall out of love with the general fitness world, and it has been a huge part of her journey with chronic pain, providing mobility and strength she otherwise may have never had. 

Her discovery of sound healing, and then especially when re-discovering the drum, felt like a real homecoming. Not gatekeeping music and sound to the performative world where you have to be “good at it”, instead opening this up for all of us to feel into its transformational power. Bethan believes sound has an unbelievable ability to bring us into presence, release stress and find connection or clarity.

Whether a fluid flow, a restorative sound bath or an energising drumming circle, her offerings take deep inspiration around the lunar cycles and the seasons, as Bethan believes that nature and our land has so much to show us. Hence why outside of these spaces you’ll usually find her in the water, way out in the countryside (likely lost) or drumming around the stones of Avebury!
