There's nothing more queer than all things mushroomy and psychedelic right? They defy normative boundaries, expand our consciousness and deeply connect us to the world. 

This speed-dating is a night of sweet conversation, queer friend-making and finding your psychedelic queer  lover! 

The event is open to anyone and everyone from the LGBTQIA+ community.

Taking inspiration from the 36 Questions to Intimacy and The School of Life's '100 Questions,' this kind of romantic speed ‘dating’ gives you a menu of profound, intriguing, and spicy questions designed to inspire authenticity and meaningful connection with those around you.

You’ll leave here with a fresh perspective on connection, some fun stories, and maybe even the beginning of something special.

Ambient DJ set from o•rbyss

o•rbyss is a London-based queer ambient event and mix series cultivating spaces for the queer community to connect, unwind, and explore softer modes of togetherness beyond the rave. Through residencies at Sauna Social Club (Peckham) and Om Being (Hackney), o•rbyss curates monthly sessions - weaving DJ sets with sauna & ice baths, yoga, and deep listening. Each event invites queer DJs to reveal a more introspective side of their sound — offering an alternative to the dancefloor. Past guests include I. JORDAN, TAAHLIAH, FAFF, Kasra V, Jaye Ward, YSANNE, and a diverse array of talented queer artists. 
 

Cacao Meditation and Intention Setting

Did you know ceremonial cacao contains theobromine and other compounds which promote deeper awareness and connection, expanding the heart, enhancing sensory perception and promoting arousal?

Upon arrival you will receive Cacao and be guided through a short meditation to get you grounded in your bodies and the present moment.

Somatic Connection Exercises 

Did you know over 90% of your communication is non-verbal? Did you know that your nervous system, breath-rate, heartbeat and brainwaves synchronise with your partner or friend when you're in coherence?

We have a range of somatic connection exercises, like breathing, eye-contact, emotion transmission and movement to get you more connected than you've ever been before? Afterall connection begins in the body, not in the mind!

Your Facilitator 

Callum Browne

Callum is the Marketing & Community Manager for The Psychedelic Society and a life-long learner in the exploration of consciousness and the mystical arts. He has completed a MSc in Medical Anthropology at University College London where he specialised in research on the phenomenology of consciousness, psychedelics and the therapeutic and healing arts across the world. 

Callum is a Trauma-Informed Body-Worker and Somatic Therapist who's completed various trainings including Somatic Muscle Release, Somatic Alignment, Advanced Deep tissue Massage, Breathwork and Meditation. Callum is passionate about the innate wisdom and intelligence of the body to both find equanimity and balance but also explore ecstatic and altered states of consciousness. He is a passionate advocate of somatic and psychedelic experiences that are grounded in transpersonal philosophy and psychology. These are the experiences that cultivate the experience and wisdom to remember and embody deeper connection with ourselves, others, nature and the beyond. Follow Callum on Instagram at @calibraid 
 

Ambient DJ Set

Luvandula

Luvandula is a dynamic queer audio-visual artist engaged with various aspects of the music industry. Through their event and mix series - o•rbyss, they curate spaces for the queer community to decompress and reconnect through ambient and downtempo music, with residencies at Sauna Social Club and Om Being. They have recently participated in the Rhythm Section Future Proof mentorship programme, developing their skills to become a future leader in the electronic music scene. Over the last few years, they have performed at Love International, Field Maneuvers, Secretsundaze, Body Movements, Corsica Studios, NTS radio and Kew Gardens. Luvandula’s sound is steeped in ambient textures and hypnotic grooves, weaving together ethereal melodies with tactile warmth. They cultivate a space of intimacy and reflection, where vulnerability and motion intertwine in radiant harmony. 

The Venue 

We will be meeting at beautiful and brand new, The Sanctuary, &Soul. 

The venue will serving  a variety of delicious food and drinks available for purchase on the night.

SCHEDULE

• 18:30: Arrive, socialise & grab a  drink / food
• 18:45: Cacao & intention-setting
• 19:00:  Speed-Dating (we will be taking breaks every 30 min)
• 22:00: End

We kindly ask that you arrive no later than 18:45 so we can begin on time and create a safe container for deep connection and conversation.

ACCESS:  We do our best to include everyone in our events, regardless of health circumstances. If you have access requirements please email the event organiser directly to discuss. Many facilitators are able to offer reduced ticket prices for those truly unable to afford the ticket price.
