South West Grain Network 

First ever Annual General Meeting!

Ignore the dry title this will be a brilliant opportunity to hear all the details of the last 18 months for the South West Grain Network. 

Crucially it will be an opportunity for the network to feedback on how they feel things have been going, as well as actively contributing to shaping the networks future direction.

12.30-13.00 Proposal for next phase of SWGN - decentralisation and support of local areas. Robyn will outline how the SWGN has functioned historically with a proposal for a more decentralised way of working.

13.30-14.30 Lunch - hot soup/stew, fresh focaccia, cookie from Hart's Bakery using SWGN flour.

Travel and Parking

Driving:We strongly suggest to arrive by train

Please be aware Bristol has a Clean Air Zone -  check if your car has to pay to enter Bristol clean air zone here.

Portway Park and Ride, just off the M5 near Avonmouth and Shirehampton, provides free parking and a direct train service into Temple Meads, in addition to buses​.

Closests car parks are  Bristol Temple Meads, which can be booked in advance and costs £22 for the day or The Friary next to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station, which is open air, small car park which cannot be pre booked and is around £11 for the day. You can pre book parking here. it costs £11.35 to park all day up until 5pm

Public Transport: Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus is directly connected to the underpass inside Bristol Temple Meads station.

When you arrive at the station ONLY EXIT via the subway/underpass at the EASTERN EXIT next to PLATFORM 15 - if in doubt ask a member of staff.

Lunch

Laura and her team at Hart's are offering exclusive use of the bakery to SWGN for our lunch and will be providing a vegan soup/stew with fresh focaccia and a cookie.

The bread and cookie contain gluten. The bakery is an environment where all major allergens are present such as sesame, peanut egg etc. If you have severe allergies please take this into consideration. 

The lunch is optional and you can bring your own lunch or eat elsewhere but we'd encourage everyone to take Laura up on this offer and eat together, if cost  is a barrier please reach out and SWGN will gladly support you to attend and eat together.

So Laura and the team can know numbers - sales for lunch will close on Friday 25th Sept.

• Notebook and pen
   

Costs

Thanks to Ai Ling, a lecturer at University of Bristol  we have been given access to the use of the venue, hot drink refreshments  all for free. Thank you Ai Ling.

There is an option to add a donation to your ticket,  this is adjustable down to zero using the small up and down arrows next to the donation amount.

Any donation is sincerely appreciated to support the running of the network and its continued success.

We have access to lockers onsite

There is a registered first aider 

You can use the venue until 8pm

Smoking is permitted outside the front of the building only

There is access to a multi faith room

There is access to a  private room for breastfeeding mothers or those needing quite

There is free wifi and charging ports for phones/laptops

You are welcome tp bring your own packed lunch and there are food outlets onsite
