Archetypes of the Feminine: Free Lecture

This two hour event will be part lecture, part embodied practice to explore the 5 feminine archetypes: Maiden, Warrior, Lover, Queen and Priestess.

What Are Archetypes:

Archetypes are a personification of inner forces, most commonly represented throughout the world as deities or goddesses. They tend to reflect a collection of qualities and behaviours that can be recognised in the human experience throughout all time, and across all cultures.

Archetypes represent different facets of our psyche. When we explore this work, we usually see ourselves prominently in 2 or possibly 3 archetypes, while others can feel more estranged. Each archetypes contains light and shadow qualities, healthy and unhealthy expressions. 

This work is about deep self enquiry to understand our way of being in the world, so that we can notice where our shadows are playing out, and bring awareness to how we need to grow, in order to become more whole.

The beauty of self enquiry with archetypes, is that they work together. They become your allies. When we can identify a shadow pattern or behaviour, we often call upon another archetype to support us in stepping out of the unhelpful behaviour, and into a more empowering story.

Maiden - Tenderness, Curiosity, Joy/ Inertia, Helplessness, Depression⠀
Warrior - Boundaries, Clarity, Direction/ Cold, Rigid, Competitive⠀
Lover - Sensuality, Creativity, Play/ Manipulative, Co-dependant, Narcissistic⠀
Queen - Service, Power, Purpose/ Bitchy, Abusive, Punishing
Priestess - Intuitive, Sacred, Space-holding/ Distant, Ungrounded, Psychotic

7:00-8:00: Lecture on Archetypes: Their light and shadow qualities, and how we work with them
8:00-8:30: Movement practice to embody each archetype
8:30-9:00: Q&A

About Your Facilitator:

Gaia Harvey Jackson

I am a facilitator of women’s empowerment, ecstatic dance and authentic connection.

My work is playful, deep and courageous.

My mission is to connect humans to their primal nature to live a richer and freer life.​

I do this through embodied ritual, cyclical living, and creating spaces for people to test their edges, shed their skins, and find belonging in those they meet along the way.

I work with movement, dance, voice work, meditation, tantric practices and ritual as modes for transformation.

I have been leading women's spaces for 5 years. My current offerings are; my flagship 6 Week Course: Psychedelic Women's Circle: Archetype Activation (starts 6th April), and my 4 Month Facilitation Training for Women, (starting Sep 2021, Applications open in May).
