What is The Cauldron?

The Cauldron is a  explorative creation space for  movers, creators and artists.

These times are tricky and in tricky times creativity, art making and finding hope become fundamental. This space aims to be a collaborative and fertile space for expression, connection and understanding.

We will start with simple movement and voice warm ups to build our improvisational skills. These will be led by facilitator Fiona, who has a background in performance art, physical theatre, fooling and dance/movement psychotherapy.

The session will then move into short improvisation spaces with a thematic focus, giving you space to create alongside others. Within this improvisation, you are able to move in and out of improvising, giving yourself time to witness and capture moments of inspiration.

We will then move into devising, exploring the golden moments from our improvisation and recreating, editing and performing  these moments again. This is the beginning of creating new performance/artwork together!

Who can attend?

This session is open to all who identify with the terms mover/creator or artist. Some experience of improvisation, play and the creative process is needed and the ability to hold yourself in this process.

If you're not sure if this is you, feel free to get in touch and ask movingwithfiona@gmail.com

*This space was previously only open to women/femme folk, but we are now opening it up to all.
