A 2-hour journey through Contact Improvisation, Meditation & Sound Immersion
Sliding scale donation-based offer
How do we listen to ourselves while remaining open to others? How can movement, touch and sound deepen our sense of presence and connection?
Join Marie Chabert, dance artist, choreographer and Gosia Malinowska, somatic therapist, intuitive guide, sound therapy and Reiki facilitator, for an embodied journey exploring the space between movement and stillness, our inner and outer worlds.
Through guided meditation, somatic exploration and Contact Improvisation, we will awaken our senses, tune into gravity, and explore how we move and connect with others through touch, shared weight and playful interactions.
Moving between solo, partner and group explorations, we'll cultivate curiosity, awareness and responsiveness, allowing dances to emerge through listening rather than predetermined steps.
We will gradually transition from movement into rest, immersing ourselves in a sound journey that invites deep listening, relaxation and integration.
An invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, encounter others and experience the interplay between movement, stillness and sound.
Open to all levels of experience. No previous dance or meditation experience is necessary. All explorations offer space for personal choice, boundaries and individual ways of participating.
Facilitated by Marie Chabert & Gosia Malinowska

What is Contact Improvisation (CI)?
Contact Improvisation is movement research that explores the physical principles of touch, momentum, and shared weight in relation to gravity. It involves a constant dialogue between two or more movers who respond to each other’s movements in real time, often maintaining physical contact but also playing with proximity and space. This practice emphasises spontaneity, trust, and mutual awareness, allowing dancers to create unique movement for each encounter.
This movement practice was initiated in 1972 by the American dancer and choreographer Steve Paxton , who drew from his background in gymnastics, aikido, and martial arts.
What is sound bath?
Sound therapy — sometimes called sound healing or a sound bath — is a deeply embodied experience that works through vibration, rhythm, and resonance.
Across cultures and ancient traditions, sound has long been used to support healing, ritual, and altered states of awareness. Today, modern science is beginning to understand why sound can have such a profound effect on the nervous system, emotional regulation, and states of consciousness.
This work lives at the meeting point of ancient wisdom and contemporary understanding.
