A new community conversation series begins today at the Pilgrims Reception Centre on Glastonbury High Street. Titled Living Well – Dying Well, the six-week project is led by soul midwife Lucy Lord and funeral director Nicky Sutton. The opening session focuses on talking about death, providing a supportive room to discuss personal fears, beliefs and unanswered questions about mortality. The organisers aim to help people feel more informed and less fearful by sharing practical details about funeral planning and choices.

The gathering is open to anyone, whether you are considering your own future wishes, supporting someone nearing the end of their life, navigating bereavement, or simply curious about the subject. Spaces are limited to eight people, and attendees can share their thoughts or simply sit and listen.
