Those looking to stretch and unwind can head to Days Mill in Nailsworth for Gentle Yoga Flow at Warrior & Wild. Led by Bethan, the class uses breathwork, longer stretches and fluid movement inspired by the rhythms of nature to build flexibility and strength, finishing with a restful savasana. Mats and props are provided, and all are welcome, including beginners and anyone managing injuries or physical limitations.

Later on, Jackson’s Art in Thrupp hosts Expressive Painting!. Run by local artist and tutor Emma Burleigh, the session welcomes beginners, rusty returners and experienced painters alike. Students will work primarily in watercolour, with elements of oil painting and mixed media, using supportive exercises to explore moods, memories and dreams. All materials and tea are included, and participants are actively encouraged to play, experiment and make a mess.

Community gatherings and evening dances are topping local plans around Stroud. At the Octagon Community Hub in Paganhill, the Lifehouse Stroud people's assembly invites neighbours together to talk honestly about how they feel about the town and where they live. Open to anyone who wants to take part without preparation, the gathering uses small group discussions to explore neighbourhood connections, share what already works locally, and agree next steps for collective decision-making.

Meanwhile, dancers of all ages can head to the Baptist Church Hall on Union Street for the Samhain Fairy Tale Ceilidh. Caller Hannah Moore and folk musicians Paul Hutchinson and Matt Norman lead families and costumed revellers across the dance floor through folklore, dark woods and monstrous caves. Nearby, Ecstatic Dance & Live Sound Bath · Elmore Court · The Cotswolds welcomes anyone wanting to move, offering barefoot dancing to club sound, crystal singing bowls and dinner.
