Neighbours looking to gather today have several community events to choose from across the country. In Margate, artist Paul Buckingham is setting up his easel in the window of Smith & Sun for DREAM ART CORNER WITH PAUL BUCKINGHAM, a free drop-in session where visitors can watch him paint and chat about dreams. Later in the same space, workshop leader Tara Li-An hosts SIGILS IN EARTH AND FIRE : CUTTLEFISH CASTING JEWELLERY WORKSHOP, guiding paying participants through designing personal symbols, burning them in ceremony, and pouring molten pewter into carved cuttlefish bone moulds to take home as talismans.

Meanwhile in London, Restell Close in Greenwich provides the setting for A Space to be heard: Free Weekly Women's Circle in Greenwich. Held in a covered outdoor spot around a fire with tea and snacks provided, the free gathering offers women and non-binary people a quiet place to listen and share. Over in Devon, Edge School is welcoming neighbours to the Moor Imagination Centre in Buckfastleigh for RESCHEDULED: Building collective agency for activists and artists. Offered as a gift without ticket fees, the evening brings 25 people together for a talk by strategist Linda Doyle, a shared dinner, and a group discussion exploring how collaborative groups can act together.

Feedback report

Recent community sessions have given participants plenty of food for thought and movement. Online, the eight-week course Holding Space: An 8 Week Course for Psychedelic Practitioners offered practitioners a place for deep conversations, leaving those taking part with useful ideas to reflect on for their own personal integration as well as their future client work. None of the feedback suggested changes to the sessions.

Meanwhile, in-person gatherings focused on moving the body. At The White Church on Clifton Drive in Lytham Saint Annes, The Nia Technique somatic dance class brought dancers together for a somatic session where new music and fresh moves proved particularly popular. Down in London, Moving Connections - Exploring presence and connections through embodied movement welcomed people to Whittington Park Community Centre on Yerbury Road for an embodied movement workshop, praised by attendees for its welcoming, engaging and inclusive feel.
