Beltane Celebration & Ecstatic Dance

Come one, Come all! 

Mayday is festival set in the very crescendo of springs majestic blossoming. 

It is a time of fertility and union, long celebrated by our Ancestors as Beltane.🌼

To this day, villages across the land honor their local rituals with parades, folk-dances, May Queens and Maypoles, paying tribute to this wild and energetic time of flowering life-force. 🌸🌷

OUR GLORIOUS CELEBRATION

For the last 2 years we have been growing this event, in the hope that someday our community will have a annual Mayday celebration to inherit in perpetuity. 🙏

This year, we may have found a dance floor within walking distance of Totnes, with a panoramic view of our Beloved River Dart. It feel likes it could be a place where we can hold this celebration for years to come. 

We will have merry band of GREEN-MEN who will be carrying our maypole and erecting him upon the hill, for us all to frolic and flounce beneath. (hopefully to live music)

We are still looking for a group of FLOWER-LADIES, who can offer an expression of the feminine. Get in touch. 🌸🌼✨️

EVERYONE is encouraged to come dressed as GreenMen or Flower Ladies. (You can choose - Not gender specific) ☯️

And together we will create a magic weaving, unifying these divine dual forces as represented by our glorious May Queen and May King, who will be wed in a short ritual as part of their hand-fasting!

Sweetly, this gorgeous couple came together at last years Beltane Celebration. 

Our Ecstatic Dance Journey will be uniquely crafted by DJ FunghPhil, including some stomping jigs and funky womping bass tunes. 🎵🎶

My hope is that this will be a co-creative, bountiful expression of our incredible community.
