🌿 Soulful Sunday: Honouring National Dying Matters Week 2026 🌿
An afternoon of prayer, presence, and sacred remembering

Join us for a deeply nourishing and heart-opening gathering as we honour National Dying Matters Week here in the UK. A time to gently bring death, dying, and grief back into the heart of community, where they belong.

🕊 Part One: Community Death Despacho
We begin with Hannah GracefulDawn, who will guide a Community Death Despacho from the Andean tradition — a ceremonial offering of prayers and intention.

Together, we will:

  • Offer prayers for healing our relationship with death and grief
  • Honour loss as a sacred rite of passage
  • Begin to soften fear and reconnect with the wisdom of endings and transitions
  • Restore death and grief as natural, communal, and sacred experiences

This beautiful ritual invites each of us to reflect on our own relationship with death and grief, and reminds us that these experiences are not meant to be carred alone.

✨ Part Two: Satsang with Eartha Love
In the second half of the afternoon, Eartha Love will share her profound personal journey of accompanying her beloved through death.

Through heartfelt storytelling and spiritual insight, she will explore:

  • The sacred experience of tending to a loved one as they transition
  • The opening of the heart through grief and love
  • The merging of souls and the continuing bond beyond physical death
  • Staying connected within what she describes as the “ecosystem of heaven”

Eartha will also speak about Shared Death Experiences (SDEs) — moments where a loved one feels they are participating in the transition of someone who is dying. These experiences can include:

  • Sensing or intuitively knowing a passing is occurring
  • Witnessing visions, light, or reunions with loved ones
  • Accompanying the dying person toward a place of peace
  • Feeling a deep, enduring connection beyond death

These experiences often bring comfort, meaning, and a sense of continuity — helping to ease fear and invite a deeper trust in the mystery of life and death.

This is an invitation to explore grief not as an end, but as a doorway into love, connection, and transformation.

EARTHA LOVE

If a name must be given, Eartha Love is a mother and a mystic, devoted to ministering love through service and the embodiment of inner resurrection.

For over 30 years, she has healed, trained, and taught shamanic practices alongside indigenous grandmothers, shamans, and medicine women. Her work is deeply rooted in Andean shamanism — an integrated, energy-based medicine that brings healing to the psyche and is inherently trauma-informed.

Eartha understands shamanic practice as a powerful pathway for healing trauma, restoring wellbeing, and supporting mental and emotional balance.

From this depth of experience, she has developed her own healing modality, Soul Mending — a heart-led, devotional practice that supports individuals in tending to their inner world and reclaiming their wholeness.

Through her work, she invites others into a profound journey of healing, connection, and the remembrance of the soul.

LUCY LORD

Lucy is a Grief Recovery Specialist, grief tender, and the founder of the Sacred Death Centre in Glastonbury, a community organisation dedicated to supporting people through the thresholds of death, dying, and grief. Her work is rooted in the belief that grief is not a problem to be fixed, but a deep human process that deserves time, space, and reverence.

After working for many years in the corporate world, Lucy's life changed direction through a series of profound personal losses. These experiences brought her to the Grief Recovery Method, which became a pivotal turning point in her own healing and the foundation of the work she now share with others. Over the past years, Lucy has supported many individuals through this evidence-based programme, helping them to gently meet and integrate the emotional pain they have carried.

Recognising that how we die shapes how we grieve, Lucy trained with Felicity Warner as a Soul Midwife, deepening her understanding of the end-of-life journey and the importance of compassionate presence.

Her grief-tending work is further grounded in the teachings of Francis Weller, whose wisdom on community grief and the necessity of ritual informs her approach. His reminder that “grief and gratitude are two sides of the same coin” sits at the heart of her work.
