Open up to the creativity of nature!
In this workshop you'll take a wander in the woods to collect an array of ‘tiny treasures’ for investigation and inspiration. You’ll go on to explore some playful ways to make ephemeral artworks from earth and plant matter, and complete the day by creating some delicate and lively watercolour studies. Join artist Emma Burleigh, to bring to life some of the latest research into nature connectedness and to discover how making art in nature boosts your wellbeing.

In this session you will:
🌿 Gain confidence in responding playfully and creatively to nature
🌷 Learn artistic skills including watercolour painting techniques
🌼 Develop your imaginative skills through guided creative interactions with nature
🌿 Enhance your observational skills through drawing and painting
🌷 Discover fresh ways of connecting to nature through guided mindful drawing exercises that will engage all of your senses
🌼 Increase your knowledge of approaches to art-making that enhance nature connectedness
No artistic experience whatsoever is required and beginners are very welcome! All art materials will be included in the price.

“An excellent day that encouraged us to look very carefully at what we were walking on as well as everything around us and to feel connected with the natural environment.”
“Emma is such a great teacher. It felt like a really nurturing and mindful course. Very much needed.”
“Thank you so much for today. Your session was an absolutely perfect fit for the afternoon - offering space both to relax and connect with others, and to connect more deeply inwards. People were really moved by the work, and you have such a light touch in your facilitation, it was a pleasure to have you.”
"I am as a result of the class more relaxed, feeling more in tune with my creativity, and more confident about creating. Brilliant."
"A very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful journey to becoming/discovering the artist within, changing perceptions and gathering skills"
"Emma was patient, understanding, warm about showing us how to do things, open to all ideas and approaches. Well paced over the 2 days.”
