Welcome to The Organic Growers Gathering 2026!

Cultivating Skills and Knowledge in the Organic Horticulture Community - we welcome growers, landworkers, crafters and food allies. 

Things are a little different this year - and we're excited to share what is being planned. 

Saturday is a day packed with sessions over three stages with more to be announced, a dedicated children’s area (Young Growers Plot), live music into the evening and all the good stuff you've come to expect from the OGG, a grass-roots, independent and outdoor on farm event. Then on Sunday, lace up your boots for farm tours hosted by Sandy Lane Farm, the new location for this year, activities ending in the late afternoon, stay on if you want to enjoy the sauna just a bit more into Sunday evening. 

Arrive on Friday from 3pm to get settled into the campsite. Join us at the Treshing Bar from 6pm  run by the amazing Two Trees Catering, a perfect way to ease in and meet your fellow growers before the event begins. Soil Ecology Lab will be there too, bring you soil samples in a jar to look under the microscope. The entrance table will be open so you can grab your ticket. Performance at 9pm and general vibes around the fire. Bring dinner with you, we might not be serving food Friday night. 

This event is for anyone passionate about organic horticulture and sustainable practices, whether you're already certified organic, thinking about certification, practice no-dig methods, grow on a small scale, or simply want to learn the best ways to work your land.

What is the OGG?

The OGG is part of a resilient food and farming network, co-created on the understanding that growers are stronger together.

In a time of weather extremes, political slowness, and growing consolidation in our food system, peer-to-peer knowledge exchange matters now more than ever as one of our most powerful tools for growing an ecological network of growers and artisan producers. The OGG is your chance to step out of the fields, meet others doing similar work, and share what you know. To root for each other, and watch each other grow.

We're building alliances between organic farming networks, platforming growers' voices, and weaving ourselves into a wider food and land justice movement.

And we're planting for the future. The Young Growers Plot ‘Sprouts’ brings the next generation into the fold through fun, interactive and hands-on programme. Because the seeds we sow now, in people as much as soil, matter most.

The Farm

Sandy Lane Farm, Oxfordshire, OX9 2LA

Set just outside Oxford on 100 acres of free-draining sandy soil, Sandy Lane Farm is a study in resourceful growing - primarily producing organic vegetables at field scale using no-dig market gardening and protected cropping. With rainfall becoming increasingly unreliable and light sandy soil offering little moisture retention capacity, George and the team have built their practice around moisture preservation, crop diversity, and a deep understanding of what this particular place can do.

Woven into a mixed farming system that includes laying hens, sheep, and pigs, everything grown here is sold directly - through a veg box scheme, a farm shop, and to Oxford institutions via OxFarmtoFork.

TICKETS

🎫 Ticket Tiers - pay what reflects your situation

The OGG should be accessible to everyone who wants to be here. Ticketing works on a sliding scale, so please choose the tier that honestly reflects your current situation. This is a trust-based system. When those who can pay more do so, it funds a place for someone who can't. That's the OGG spirit.

🌳 Pay-It-Forward Ticket 

You're in a position to do a little extra, and you want to help someone else get here. Thank you, your generosity directly funds a bursary/solidarity place for a fellow grower.

🌿 Standard Ticket 

You can comfortably cover the cost of attending. This is the right tier for you.

🌱 Solidarity Ticket 

This ticket tier is for: 

⋆ a grower or landworker (full or part-time) on a low wage 

⋆ a new entrant or in agricultural education 

⋆ LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, or a mother 

⋆ anyone for whom the standard price is a genuine barrier.

🥦 Young Growers Plot - Sprouts 

Under 18 years are free to attend, please just select this ticket option so we can plan the size of the children's area, we will have a shared space and sessions for both really little growers and teens growers. 

🥕 Apply to be a Land Steward!

The OGG runs on the energy of its people. From the kitchen to the stages, from the gate to the gap between sessions, many hands make for light work, and there are many ways to be part of it. Stewarding is the anti-capitalist ticket, the gathering gets built by the people who really want to be here. This is how the OGG has been created, allowing space for a large team of stewards, with meals per shift provided and short shifts so you can still enjoy the event, let's learn and have some fun together. 

Applications give priority to students, new entrants, and those working in growing on a low income. Fill in the form as fully as you can, we'll be in touch as soon as we're able to - the OGG team are all part-time workers, so thank you for your patience.

OPENING TIMES

Saturday is the sessions and party event day. Packed with sessions across three stages, a dedicated children’s area (the Young Growers Plot - Sprouts), live music in the evening and all the good stuff you've come to expect from the OGG, grassroots and outdoor, on the farm, event. 

Then on Sunday, lace up your boots for farm tours hosted by Sandy Lane Farm, the new location for this year. 

Arrive on Friday from 3pm to get settled into the campsite, and join us around the fire and at the ‘Threshing Bar' organised by Old Tree Brewery from 6pm - a perfect way to ease in and meet your fellow growers before the event begins.

Access to all areas opens Saturday morning. Breakfast will be open from then too. 

Sessions across three stages Saturday, with farm tours on Sunday. All other activities take place over both days. 

NOURISHMENT 

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can be purchased from the on-site kitchen throughout Saturday and Sunday Breakfast and Lunch,  by Two Trees Catering Bristol.

Also as tradition, Old Tree Brewery are back with us, you've been fabulously supporting the botanical bar, and they appreciate your support too!

We prioritise as much local, fresh and organic on farm produce as possible. 

CAMPING & VEHICLES 

Camping is included in the weekend ticket price. In the camping field, you are welcome to cook your own food on stoves/off ground BBQs, though not with open fires. 

Live-in vehicles will be next to camping, you will be guided to a place to park. 

Pre-purchase of Live-in and Vehicle Passes helps us understand how much space to create. Parking is limited so to avoid disappointment, please try to purchase vehicle passes in advance. You will need a VEHICLE PASS on arrival (please place this in a visible place such as your front window dashboard). 

LIFT SHARE 

We are hoping that y'all will try to car share to reduce emissions and parking spaces in the fields. 

If you're passing The Fox bus stop at the top of Sandy Lane, please look out for fellow growers who are arriving by bus, they might be grateful for a lift if you have the space.

TRAIN

From Haddenham & Thame Parkway Train Station 

This is a small station therefore with trains running at limited times; weekdays 6:20am - 7:20pm, Saturdays 6:35am - 1:05pm, Sunday 8:40am - 4:10pm. Please check train times closer to the event. 

The closest train station to Sandy Lane Farm is Haddenham & Thame Parkway, around 6 miles away. 

From Oxford Train Station 

Oxford is directly connected to Haddenham & Thame Parkway - the journey takes around 27 minutes on Chiltern Railways, with roughly hourly services throughout the day. Oxford itself is one of the best-connected stations in the region, with direct services from:

London Paddington (approx. 1 hour, GWR) | London Marylebone (approx. 1 hour, Chiltern Railways) | Birmingham New Street (approx. 1 hr 40 min, CrossCountry) | Manchester Piccadilly (CrossCountry, via Birmingham) | Bristol Temple Meads (approx. 1 hr 30 min, GWR via Reading) | Reading (GWR) | Banbury (GWR/Chiltern)

If you're coming from London Marylebone, you can also travel direct to Haddenham & Thame Parkway without changing at Oxford - it sits on the same Chiltern Railways line.

BUS

From Oxford, the Redline bus (X20 route) to the Tiddington, The Fox stop runs from Oxford High Street and takes 27 minutes. Bus runs every 20 mins in the day and every hour in the evening from 5:10am - 11:44pm weekdays, and similar times at the weekend. Then it's a walk half a mile up Sandy Lane.

TRAIN/TAXI 

From Haddenham & Thame Parkway Train Station, a taxi takes approximately 8 minutes, or you can take the Redline bus (X20 route) to the Tiddington, The Fox stop.

ACCESS NEEDS 

There are designated places for Access Needs Parking, please email to book in with us in advance. 

If you would like to share anything else with us to make your visit more comfortable, please do get in contact. Bear in mind this event is located on a farm with uneven ground, and part of the event in a field. 

WHAT TO BRING? 

The fun stuff...

🌱 SEEDS to seed swap with one another.

🪱 SOIL & COMPOST there will no doubt be a space to explore your soil, more info coming soon. 

🪗 INSTRUMENTS to play around the fire, just not drums/cajón as the sound travels and is disruptive to others, thank you!

The practical stuff...

💸 CASH as card readers in fields can be temperamental. There will not be a cash point at the event. Also, it just helps keep all the moneys in the community and avoids banks taking a cut.

☕️ A MUG! Let's avoid using disposable cups, cause they ain't so environmental, really.

🍲 PLATE & CUTLERY just being practical as they could be useful at times.

🥾 GOOD BOOTS are essential as there will be uneven ground, possibly muddy areas hey! Check the weather before you get here so that you're prepared.

☀️ SUN PROTECTION so think things like sun hats, thin shirts, and extra tarps for tent shade cover. You never know what the weather will be like come September!? 

🏕 WARM CLOTHES for nighttime, even though the daytime sunshine is lovely, it can get very cold at night, bring an extra blanket and ground cover sheets for your tents.

🔦 HEAD TORCH is pretty vital, not all the paths will be lit up, and bring your other good trusty outdoors gear too!

⛺️ CAMPING bring the gear that will keep you cool, warm and dry; tents, sleeping bags, ground sheets tarps and more.

HOUSE RULES 

NO DOGS/PETS - We kindly ask you to not bring your dogs or other animals to the event. This is hard for us to ask of you, however it's going to be a busy place, with food and children to also think of, as well as live-stock and crops to care for. Thank you for your understanding. There might be the odd dog about that live at the farm as this is their home.

REFUND POLICY - We can allocate a certain amount of refunds. Refunds are available 60 days before the event. After that, we can only agree refunds if our budget can afford it, on a case by case basis, as we will have already invested in your arrival at the event. We cannot issue last minute refunds due to extreme weather.
