A Winter’s Night by Candlelight — Songs, Stories & Supper

Step in from the cold and join Aurélie & Hannah for an intimate, candlelit winter gathering filled with warmth, music, and gentle companionship. Held in a cosy, homely setting, this evening is designed as a soft place to land, where the glow of candlelight and the ease of good company invite you to slow down and settle in.

We will share a simple homemade plant based supper of hearty soup, freshly baked bread, nibbles, and a sweet dessert, while songs and stories from these lands are woven throughout the meal. You’re warmly welcomed to simply sit back, listen, and be carried by the music and tales. There is no need to perform or participate unless you feel called. This night is for receiving.

A glass of mulled wine will greet you on arrival, with more warm seasonal drinks available to purchase as the evening unfolds. 

Come as you are. Bring a friend, if you wish. Settle into a night of nourishment for body and soul, a gentle celebration of community, creativity, and the quiet magic of wintertime togetherness.

Hannah and Aurélie are bound by their shared love of singing, storytelling, and the folk traditions that root us to place and to each other. They are committed to keeping these old ways alive, and to creating spaces where others can reconnect with them too. Learn more about us below. 

About your hosts-

Aurélie is the creator of Lili’s Hands,  a project that combines Aurélie’s love of the outdoors and foraging with her passion for cooking. She   is passionate about sharing creations and discoveries with others, and rekindling the concept of seasonal living. Expect foods that are nutritious, delicious, and colourful, vibrant and alive through fermentation or sprouting. Freshly baked bread and slow roasted vegetables, grains and pulses to be sure to delight tastebuds whilst nourishing the body. 

When she’s not in the kitchen, Aurélie loves to sing, learn and share songs from many places, with a particular draw to sounds and languages of the Mediterranean. 

Hannah Lunar Rose is an ancient songstress, vocalist, and herbal witch devoted to the old ways and the art of remembrance. Rooted in the rhythms of nature, she weaves together song, ritual, and the wisdom of plants as pathways of healing and reconnection. Guided by her studies in Ayurveda, yoga, and the mysteries of the voice, Hannah’s work honours the sacred in the everyday, from kitchen alchemy and earth offerings to ancient chants that stir the soul. Through her music and practice, she invites others to return to what is true, simple, and alive within. And to remember the old ways.
