🌊 Seaside Bhakti Celebrations | 30–31 October 🌊

Dear Bhakti Family,

We would love to invite you to join us for a beautiful seaside weekend of bhakti, celebration and community in Portland, Dorset.

Across the two days, we’ll come together for lots of kirtan, a Vedic fire ceremony, a Trishul Puja and more!

The Trishul is the sacred three-pointed trident associated with Lord Shiva, symbolising creation, preservation and transformation. In these changing times, the Trishul Puja invites us to find strength and balance, let go of what no longer serves us, and meet life with greater clarity and trust.

Alongside the ceremonies, there will be plenty of time to relax, connect and enjoy shared vegetarian meals together. The sea is only a five-minute walk away, so there will also be opportunities to explore Portland’s beautiful coastline and spend time in nature. 

You’re welcome to join us on Friday, or stay for both days. Simple shared accommodation is available for anyone who would like to stay overnight.

Practical Information

• Arrival: Friday 30 October, between 1–2pm
• Accommodation at the venue: A limited number of spaces in shared dormitory accommodation are available for £10 per person. To reserve a space, please email ukbhaktigatherings@gmail.com. You will need to bring your own air mattress and sleeping bag. As spaces are very limited, we encourage you to arrange accommodation elsewhere if possible.
• Food: A simple vegetarian dinner will be provided on Friday and is included in the ticket price. You’re also invited to bring a loaf of bread to contribute to the shared meal.
• Parking: Free parking is available on surrounding streets, as well as at Hambro Car Park (59 spaces, free for up to 72 hours and a 5-minute walk away) and New Ground Car Park (120 spaces, free for up to three days and a 15-minute walk away).
• Snacks: Complimentary samosas will be available on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

We encourage guests to arrange their own overnight accommodation where possible. There are several affordable places to stay within 5–20 minutes of the venue, as well as some lovely Airbnbs ranging from approximately £30–£90 per night.

The venue is close to Weymouth and surrounded by beautiful coastline and nature walks, making this a lovely opportunity to extend your stay and enjoy more of the area.
